25.01.2022 THANK YOU - to all our patients who have willingly adapted to our carpark consultations, empty waiting rooms, drive-thru flu clinics, busy phone lines, social distancing, mask wearing, temperature checking and increased safety precautions. Our staff have been working hard during these stressful times but we are keeping morale high by being creative in our time off. Meet the new additions to our Selby Family Clinic team, our handmade Spoonville family! We look forward to continuing our service to the community. Please stay safe!

24.01.2022 October 10th was World Mental Health Day! Our staff wore odd socks to raise awareness and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. Your mental health matters so see your doctor if you need support. #OSD2020 The following links may also be helpful: - https://www.beyondblue.org.au/ - https://headspace.org.au/... - https://www.lifeline.org.au/ See more

19.01.2022 WELL DONE VICTORIA WELL DONE VICTORIA - for doing so well and getting us out of travel restrictions. Important Changes - As of the 9th of November we will only be able to offer Telehealth consultations to patients who have been seen in the clinic in the past 12 months. Exceptions apply to those under 12 months old, homeless patients and people required to isolate due to COVID-19. Please call reception if you are unsure if these changes apply to you. Please note: We are still asking all patients visiting the clinic to call when you arrive and wait in your car until your appointment.

17.01.2022 Not everyone is finding Stay at Home directions challenging. Some of our younger Victorians think it's ‘awesome’. Thank you to the parents of Victoria for your patience, care and resilience. We know it's not always easy.

15.01.2022 October is Mental Health Month! Our mental health is extremely important, particularly during these times. Here are some suggested activities to connect with others, have a bit of fun, and look after your mental health during October and beyond! Remember to speak to your doctor if you need support. #LookafteryourmentalhealthAustralia

12.01.2022 During October's Mental Health Month we have encouraged our patients and staff to do something each day for their mental health. October 31st was a good excuse for some creativity and fun for our staff. Stay safe and continue to look after your mental health on a daily basis.

09.01.2022 From 11.59pm on Wednesday 22 July, face coverings are compulsory in Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, due to the higher number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases currently occurring. Wearing a face mask provides an additional physical barrier to coronavirus (COVID-19), helping to reduce community transmission. When should I wear a mask? When leaving home for one of the four reasons, people 12 years and older must wear a face covering, unless an exemption applies. You should pu...t your face covering on before you leave your car. If you are driving your car for work, such as deliveries, or with people from outside your household then you are required to wear a face covering. If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise includes activities like jogging, running or cycling but not walking. For more information visit: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au//updated-restrictions-1159pm-w

07.01.2022 - GOVT. FUNDED FLU VACCINES AVAILABLE! - Children aged between 6 months and 5 years and other increased risk groups (as outlined below) are eligible for government funded flu vaccinations. Private flu vaccines are also available for purchase. Please be assured that strict physical distancing measures are still in place for our flu clinics to ensure your safety.

07.01.2022 We are still offering COVID testing. If you have reoccurring symptoms please call us to make an appointment to get re-tested.

05.01.2022 2ND FLU VACCINATIONS THIS YEAR! Some doctors are recommending getting a second flu vaccination for those at risk or for those that want to limit their risk of bad flu symptoms if Victoria opens up more later in the year. What is the evidence around receiving a second flu vaccine? - This recommendation is based on the idea that the flu vaccine gives some protection for 4-5 months before immunity starts to decline. There is some limited evidence, based on studies, that a secon...d flu vaccine in a season will give extra benefit. Early studies suggested that an annual flu vaccine provides less of a vaccine immune response than first flu vaccination, however subsequent studies have disproven this. It likely does not cause harm. Certainly a lot of the staff and doctors at the clinic will receive, or have had, a second flu vaccine to reduce our risk at the end of the year. You decide, and contact us if you would like to book in to receive another flu vaccine.

In her free time, Priscilla enjoys hiking, spending time with friends and family and playing the violin.

01.01.2022 As of the 1st October 2020 the government has removed the incentive payment of $12.95 for bulk billing telehealth consultations. Some of our doctors will continue bulk billing patients on a Centrelink pension or healthcare card and children under 16 despite this reduction in Medicare incentive. Private billing may apply at the doctors discretion to all other patients for telehealth and face to face consultations. Your doctor will explain the payment process at the end of your consultation. We are here to support the community and ensure access to healthcare for all patients. Please speak to your doctor if you have any concerns.
