23.01.2022 What a great month in Oct we had. Kravmagalogy, Krav seminar and First Aid and trauma course all in one month and thats in addition to our weekly classes. It has also been great to acknowledge the dedication of our students with our rewards scheme. I'm so proud of all the hard work and effort you all put in and it shows every week.... With second lockdown now approaching don't worry, we are working on plans to keep you training.

19.01.2022 Great to be back training tonight, outdoors with social distancing. Working on kicks against opponents moving by the instructor shouting commands advising where the attacker is coming from and the students having to react using kicks to the direction of the threat. Here is a pic from my first Grading overseen by Gheorghe. Was a knackering day but well worth it. Remember the drive back from Manchester and every muscle aching but it showed we all could do it.... 05.01.2022 You will learn Krav Maga techniques and fighting skills each and every lesson, real world self defence coupled with why, how and when (and within the UK Self Defence Law) as well as further knowledge such as human/criminal body language/behaviour and conflict management. Its a well-rounded syllabus. In a 2 hour mixed gender and ability class youll learn at your optimum rate and build tons of confidence each week. The classes are carefully planned, taught by very knowledgeable experienced and highly qualified instructors (in teaching and in krav maga) who teach the class in a way for all to understand. 02.01.2022 SPARTANS ACADEMY WINS MORE INTERNATIONAL AWARDS We’ve done it again! Spartans Academy of Krav Maga and our people-before-profit Krav Maga United Kingdom network of international schools have been awarded more prestigious awards in the world of martial arts. ... Nominated by the Israeli Martial Arts Federation (FIMA) based in the USA, we have been recognised with the coveted martial art ‘Federation Award 2020’ at the 15th annual London International Hall of Fame awards. Picked up by our Founder, Director and Chief Instructor Gheorghe Husar, this recognition is normally given at a gala dinner even in London. Due to Covid-restrictions, this years winners’ announcement was done via online live-streaming. These international awards are the longest running martial arts awards in Europe and are open to the global martial arts community. Orjan Pettersen, Expert Level instructor with the school and network, was also awarded the recognition of international martial arts ‘Instructor of the Year’ 2020. Winners in the awards this year came from the USA, UK, Israel, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Italy, Spain, Holland, Mexico, Hungary, Greece, Ireland, Australia, Panama, Chile and Nepal. They included many well-known names from martial arts and combat sports. These accolades follow earlier success this year where we were awarded the title of the ‘Israeli Martial Arts School of the Year’ by FIMA and both Gheorghe Husar and Orjan Pettersen picked up global awards for their work at the 25th Academy Awards of Martial Arts, the most prestigious martial arts awards in the world, held in Atlantic City, NJ, USA in January. Our 2020 awards means that Gheorghe Husar and Orjan Pettersen are both inducted into the US and UK Martial Arts Hall of Fame. We’d like to congratulate both of them and the full Spartans Academy and Krav Maga United Kingdom international team and community for yet more outstanding recognition of our work.

01.01.2022 Well, we are back training within current Covid19 guidelines in the outdoors. Its been brilliant to see you again, we have missed you all :) Until guidance updates we will be training using the distancing required, practising dry drill techniques, body mechanics and cardio.... If you can do a technique in dry drill it will all flow when full contact becomes available. Please keep a eye on our social media as any updates will be communicated ASAP to you all.
