18.01.2022 On behalf of a family who lost everything.... Thank you!!! I'm asking if anyone can share any extras they might have that they're not using around the house to help out our dear friends who lost everything in a house fire 2 weeks ago.. The girls are missing their makeup, cosmetic things like nail clippers & files etc. ... But the parents are in need of household things like a broom, dustpan & brush, mop & bucket & other cleaning things.. They are gradually getting bits & pieces, but it will probably be months before they get any insurance through & they are a retired couple with 5 foster children. The older 2 girls are staying with family members but the 3 who are still at school need single beds but the Department have said they don't have any money. They also need pillows, blankets/doonas etc.. I am going through kitchen cupboards as well but anything would be much appreciated. I have some towels I can give them.. I am waiting on sizes for everyone for clothing & shoes etc even though we have given them some to get them through. Anything that you no longer need or use would be more than welcome to help them until their house is rebuilt.. If you let me know in messenger where you are located close to Logan we can organise to collect things.. Thanks so much in advance.

16.01.2022 Sunday and the end of this big weekend. We finally get to see the trailer being picked up by Clive Henare to deliver Selfless Giving to Luke who helps as a carer as well as a amazing father to 5 year old Tina who you may remember we where able to help out 5 months ago. Thanks for joining us again brother Jay, it's great for you to feel so many different perspectives on other's lives but also to be apart of being part of selflessly Giving.... Would be an otherwise unjoyful ride without you buddy We are running a campaign and would like your help towards our Christmas hampers. With so many on or below the poverty line, let's come together and make sure they have the best start to their Christmas day. The hardest time is always the week before and the week after. Do with hampers with an assortment of food, 2x presents for each child,1 x present for the parent/s. We can make sure no one struggles and everyone gets the happiness that they deserve. PM Selfless Giving or The Big 3 for info on how you can donate items or if you would like to send a Coles or Woolworths voucher to help with food we can forward an address Stay blessed, know your loved

16.01.2022 Another amazing week. Nadine and I got to meet Moana and Jason. Moana has started Be The Hero: https://www.facebook.com/bethehero2020/. And looks to assist young males and men struggling with social and mental health issues. Jay, Byron and Tayla rocked down to see Stella to help out with the Street Feed, and I got the opportunity to drop off some furniture using our Brand New trailer that was generously gifted to The Big 3 and Selfless Giving from Rotary Loganholme last wee...k. We are looking for anyone who would like to help us with our Christmas Appeal to fundraise for our Christmas Hampers for nominated families who we have helped for a Christmas day that they deserve. From the Elderly, single father's, DV mother's and single parent households with multiple children. We have 8 x Hampers to put together and would like 5x $25-50 food retail outlet vouchers to put towards each family. If you would like to sponsor/ donate for our Christmas appeal please PM Selfless Giving and we can organise the easiest way to make that happen so you can make a difference for someone this Christmas season. Selfless Giving and The Big 3: strive thrive and live the life that you deserve.

09.01.2022 An amazing morning connecting crucial services with fantastic builders Nerang neighborhood centre has had plans for showers and laundry facilities for Gold Coast homeless. I have been privileged to have met some amazing people and Dave Wagener is one of those amazing people. A big thanks to Shirley Poole for bringing this to my attention, we now have a mission of installing more of these from south gold coast up to the sunshine coast.... When selfless giving first started it was to help people over covid19 not only get the services they need but to let others know there are people who care. If you would like to volunteer or contribute towards Selfless Giving or donate any items please Private Message us and you to can be a Selfless Giving contributor today.

09.01.2022 Happy 1st August 2020. Another amazing week of training with brother Jay and meeting Nadine who has usually dropped off so it was truly a blessing to meet her in person. Selfless Giving is more than clothes and blankets it's also about human connection and social bonding. We are human, at some point it's something we all crave.... If Covid19 has shown us something, it has polarised how close we become as a community or how we choose to distance ourselves. There are still ways to show others you care. A wave, a message of concern or a playful message to encourage others to smile. If you would like to donate anything you can drop off in Logan or gold coast or give us a holla and in a safe place you can allocate a spot for us to come by and pick up without having to have physical contact. If you would like to help assist the Koha Shed Austrailia in their persistence to mental health assistance, Domestic Violence and assisting youth please click on the link below. I promote them because they care. https://m.facebook.com/thekohashedau/ The Big 3 delivering Selfless Giving every day

03.01.2022 The man doesn’t know that there is a snake underneath. The woman doesn’t know that there is a stone crushing the man. The woman thinks: I am going to fall! And I can’t climb because the snake is going to bite me! Why can’t the man use a little more strength and pull me up! The man thinks: I am in so much pain! Yet I’m still pulling you as much as I can! Why don’t you try and climb a little harder!? The moral is you can’t see the pressure the other person is under, and the other person can’t see the pain you’re in. This is life, whether it’s with work, family, feelings or friends, we should try to understand each other. Learn to think differently, perhaps more clearly and communicate better. A little thought and patience goes a long way. ~ Author Unknown
