03.01.2022 Just a little inspiration... I remember when I first started out a couple of decades ago now So many people tried to tell me that I would:... Never be good enough, apparently I didn’t have what it took to be a great hairdresser. I was too slow, too particular, cared too much. I was told to stop wasting my time. One hairdresser even told me I would be bad for business!! I love it when people underestimate me and try to tell me, I cannot do something. It makes my determination even stronger to achieve and surpass what even I could ever imagine. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients who continue to allow me, to live out my dream each day. I’m looking forward to seeing you all, in my salon once again very soon.

03.01.2022 Who do you look up to or admire? One of my beautiful clients posed this question to me recently. For the life of me, I couldn’t think of a single person. So I answered Myself. ... Then I laughed thinking how arrogant that sounded. I mentioned this conversation to a friend and they suggested, that perhaps one reason I don’t look up to anyone is due to not having any goals. This made me think on that statement, just for a minute... Until I quickly realised they were incorrect. I discovered the reason for not being able to answer this question, is actually due to the fact of not knowing anyone who has faced my personal challenges alone and overcome them, while still striving for more in this beautiful and precious life. The strength and determination I have, will never come from anyone else, a lesson I have learnt from a young age, to not look to others to see how they achieve their success, as that is their path, not mine. I am the creator of my own life and therefore I don’t really look to others to see how they live their lives. I have admired many people throughout my life but never really looked up to anyone and thought I wish I could be like that. I look at myself and think, Right, I have this goal.. how do I attain it? I then put my plan in place and accomplish it. Then I think ok! What can I succeed in next? And the cycle repeats... This is one reason I love my job, the interactions I have with my clients. I meet the most amazing people, who force me to grow each day, even with one seemingly simple question So, thank you.
