21.01.2022 Oregano brings back a lot of beautiful memories from Greece especially their Greek Salad with dried oregano, olive oil, tomatoes, cucumber and feta Delish !! It is related to Marjoram and is used a lot in Mediterranean cooking, aromatic, warm and slightly bitter to taste. Also known as the Pizza herb, that’s debateable. It has a lot of antioxidant properties also, I didn’t realise so many herbs did until we started reviewing them , it’s good.

19.01.2022 Today’s herb is probably the most widespread of all Parsley, 2 main types Italian flat leaf and French curly. Especially good in Mediterranean, Italian, Middle Eastern, French cooking and the list goes on. Chimichurri is one of our faves using a lot of parsley and other goodies , gorgeous. Rich in vitamins A C & K it is good for you, also has antioxidant properties. We have made a Parsley oil as you see in the picture for sale at the shop, the colour is a vibrant green just amazing.

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, it will take us a couple of days to get back on our feet and start cooking everything on our menu, so please be patient, we will try and get things up and running for Tuesday but it will more than likely be Wednesday, feel free to drop in Tuesday, knock on the door and if we have some food it will be SOLD! What a crazy ride we have all been on, but time to get on with it again, can't wait to see you all soon

06.01.2022 Time today, to show you Thyme, very cute little herb which comes in a few varieties, in the picture common thyme and variegated Lemon which smells beautiful, grown in the garden can repel mosquitos which can be handy on a balmy night. Ancient Greeks used it as incense and it also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It is used a lot in French cuisine , think Chicken dishes, and Italian , try roasting some Roma tomatoes halved with some red onion, olive oil , balsamic and thyme leaves which you can have with meat or seafood.
