25.01.2022 In line with the new government guidelines, as of midnight tonight, everyone entering the clinic will be required to wear a disposable mask. Whilst we do have masks in the clinic, stock is very limited so please bring your own if you have one. Everyone entering the clinic will be required to check in using the QR code on the front door. Simply open your camera and point at the code and follow the steps from there. ... There is a sign in sheet for those of you without a smart phone. Please try to arrive to your appointment alone and if that isn’t possible, ask the person you are with to wait in the car or grab a coffee with our beautiful neighbours Heart of Semaphore Thanks so much for your support and stay safe!

22.01.2022 SRP UPDATE At SRP, we continue to treat patients in clinic for Face to Face appointments. In line with the new SA Government guidelines, all Exercise Rehabilitation Groups will be cancelled for 2 weeks. ... Some of the measures we are taking to keep our staff and patients safe are: - Taking temperatures of everyone who enters the building - Thoroughly sanitising treatment areas between each patient - Regularly sanitising frequently touched areas - Screening patients before entering the clinic - Asking patients to avoid paying by cash where possible We also urge patients to please call us to reschedule if you have travelled interstate in the last 14 days or are feeling unwell in any way. If you have been to a hotspot found here https://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au//contact+tr/contact+tracing , please reschedule your appointment. As always, we will continue to uphold high standards of hygiene and infection control around the clinic and are closely monitoring all new recommendations from SA Health. Thank you, The SRP Team.

Kayaking is a great from of cardio and can help improve muscle strength , particularly in the back, arms, shoulders and chest.... 21.01.2022 PINC & STEEL's Tip #2 for people going through cancer treatment: Get a Physical and Functional Assessment with a Cancer Rehab Physio. 18.01.2022 Drinking Bird This exercise is great for developing the functional strength of your hamstrings and glutes, whilst also improving your core stability. It is an exercise that is important for athletes, runners or for anyone looking to improve their lower body and core strength. ... There are a few key points to focus on within this technique: 1Hip hinging: Aim to ‘hinge’ at the hips, rather than bending your lower back. Imagine an axle going through your hips, this is where the movement should come from. 2Neutral Spine: If this is difficult you can hold a broomstick down your back to help with feedback. 3Keep your hips level: The tendency will be for the non-stance side to drop. To make this exercise easier you can perform a double leg variation, this will help to practice the technique of ‘hip hinging’. If you find this too easy you can try using dumbbells or a barbell for added resistance.

07.01.2022 Move It Monday Every Monday over the next few weeks we are going to be showing you how our team members here at SRP like to #moveit in their spare time. Working in the industry we do, we understand the importance of staying active and keeping our bodies moving. But this doesn’t mean we don’t struggle to find the motivation to exercise from time to time. ... Sometimes getting motivated to exercise is harder than the workout itself. That’s why we try to find an activity that we love that doesn’t feel like a chore and just another thing to tick of our to do list. First up on our #moveitmonday is our amazing Remedial Massage Therapist, Louise Glennon. Louise has been playing golf for 30 years! (we think that is pretty impressive!) Louise says: The great thing about golf is no matter how you play you're out with friends getting exercise. In a round of golf we walk close to 8.5-9.5 km and are active for about 4 hours. The game will allow me to play golf for as long as I can walk. A fact that proves true as I have friends well into their 80 that still play the game. Thanks Louise! How do you like to stay active? Let us know below See you next week for another #moveitmonday post!
