14.01.2022 Thanks to our police officers for coming to the rescue of an orphaned little 2wk old baby boy they named Frank. He was left behind in a shed crying and covered in fleas. Today he is saying goodbye to the last of his fleas loving his milk formula and now purring more and crying less with one of our foster nurses!!

12.01.2022 Dear Semaphore Veterinary Surgery Clients, COVID-19 Update Until advised otherwise, we are open as normal here are some guidelines to help both humans and animals stay safe and healthy.... If your pet needs veterinary attention and: You have been overseas or interstate within the last 14 days Youre experiencing symptoms Need to self-isolate Please phone us for advice and we can make a plan. In line with social distancing recommendations, we are keeping waiting times to a minimum. We ask you to: Limit the number of people presenting your pet to just one owner When arriving for your appointment, please wait in your car Please phone us from your car on arrival and we can return the phone call to welcome you into the clinic when we are ready to see your pet. Please use hand sanitisers located in the clinic Please phone ahead to order required prescription medicine repeats or food, worming and flea control in advance so we can arrange to have them ready for you without the need to wait. We are working hard to ensure we can continue to provide complete veterinary care. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 06.01.2022 Thanks very much to Alfie, the German Shepherd, for giving his blood to save Tilly, the Labrador Cross, after major surgery. Tilly had a 7.9kg splenic tumor removed from her abdomen earlier this week. Without blood donation from Alfie, she would never have survived. We are all thankful to Alfie and his parents Terri and Dominic for allowing us to do this. Even though it is still early days, Tilly is recovering extremely well. We are all keeping our fingers crossed. Thank you... to all the staff at Semaphore Vets, it was a fantastic combined effort. Tillys mum and dad are very happy to have their girl home and recovering with a wag in her tail. See more
