24.01.2022 We have had a few very busy days in Sydney demonstrating the Advanced Wing Systems SRW and also helping prepare the K8 Sports boat for its racing career. So far... all is going well and in spite of a few minor teething issues while getting into race trim, the boat and the SRW have been performing well. See more

It is a precision designed system that brings th...e very best wing sail technology to the cruising market in a robust, easy to manage, and high performance, affordable package. Production of the first rigs is well underway. The aluminium extrusions for the Advanced Wing Systems SRW Cruise are almost ready to be shipped. These sections, when combined with a carbon fibre composite tapered mast tip, can be used to make mast sections up to 21m in length. They are suitable for vessels from 12m up to over 16m in length. Rigging can be configured for mono or multihulls. The specially designed, lightweight wing membranes can be made from a range of materials from polyester to high tech carbon reinforced sail fabrics. Advanced manufacturing techniques are used to make the plastic/titanium sail hardware. Battens are lightweight carbon/glass composite to give excellent strength to weight. OEM options available. 10.01.2022 It is sometimes hard to get a full perspective of the Advanced Wing Systems Semi Rigid Wing (SRW) as it is difficult to see both sides of the wing at the same t...ime. This short video shows a progression of wing sections through the span of the wing being contstructed for the Vision 444 catamaran. This is a cruising version of the SRW and uses a aluminium extruded mast with a composite tapered tip. The wing section geometry can be varied by simple controls. Sail handling is easy. Single line reefing is an option. Internal lazy jack system keeps the outside of the wing aerodynamically clean. SRW Cruise - Safe, simple performance. See more
