24.01.2022 This week’s tutu and one from a couple of weeks ago

24.01.2022 I’ve got to get better at staying up to date with posting... Here are some tutus I finished a while ago and two I finished last week

24.01.2022 I’ve made two Little red riding hood costumes this year. One made its stage debut today. Thank you Katie for your lovely compliments and pictures of Stevie

22.01.2022 A bold little tutu making its debut in Cowra next week. Chookas for your first solo Miss Heidi

22.01.2022 Swanhilda Demi for Jasmine. My new favorite

21.01.2022 Tinker bell tutu for Gdance end of year production of Peter Pan, November 2016

21.01.2022 One of my early tutus (and it’s beautiful owner) in the July/August Dancetrain magazine

20.01.2022 It’s the little things... Inserting invisible zips in Lycra is a bugger at the best of times, let alone trying to match 5 stripe joins. It’s not perfect but I’m still pretty chuffed with myself with this effort (particularly the 4th join )

18.01.2022 Catching up on posting some recent tutus. Pretty pale blue and silver combo

17.01.2022 Last tutu for the term. Delivered to one very excited ballerina this afternoon

17.01.2022 Tutu for Jess finished and packed in its custom made tutu bag, ready for delivery this afternoon

17.01.2022 Lovely clients have shared photos of their beautiful dancers in costumes I’ve made. Of course I’ve been ridiculously slack at re-posting on my page, but here are a few. If any other past clients have photos they would like to share please forward them to me. I love seeing pics of my costumes in action

16.01.2022 This tutu is too small for my smallest mannequin so I’ve had to improvise

15.01.2022 Group and Lead costumes, made quickly and on a budget. Some costumes are made from scratch and some use a combination of purchased items, op shop finds and made from scratch

14.01.2022 Two tutus done and delivered! I love them both for different reasons. I love this shade of blue and have wanted to use it for some time. And I love the second tutu for being different, even though it drove me crazy at times and took a lot of playing to find a design I was happy with.

14.01.2022 Last tutu for term 3. A lot of playing with the fit of the bodice but I think I got there in the end

14.01.2022 My gorgeous daughter rocking my latest costume, featuring an origami tutu. The origami tutu pattern was designed by Anne Tytherleigh of Tutu Couture and Stagewear. I learnt to make them last year but it has taken till now to get a dance and costume concept it could work with. MANY hours of sewing go into making one, but they are so striking and unique it makes the time worth it. And crazily enough, I feel like making more, so if anyone is keen...

13.01.2022 Little red riding hood from earlier this year. A cute little dress for an itty bitty dancer

12.01.2022 Traveling to Brisbane to attend the Contemporary origami tutu masterclass. Just a little bit excited!!

12.01.2022 Last week my latest tutu went home with it’s owner, packed in the cutest matching tutu bag.

11.01.2022 After a big break over summer my first tutu for 2018 is finished and packed in its custom made tutu bag ready for delivery this weekend.

10.01.2022 It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’m dealing with a severe cross stitch addiction. It started in March with the covid lock down and I can’t kick it. With an eisteddfod at the end of term it’s time to break free and get back to tutus. It’s going to be hard! Here’s a few of the completed patterns.

09.01.2022 Princess Lea Demi character. A turtleneck leo with georgette dress

04.01.2022 I have a helper in the studio today!

04.01.2022 This was my last tutu for 2018, squeezed in amongst concert sewing and Christmas. I’m posting now as it debuted on stage this weekend at the Australasian Ballet Challenge.

04.01.2022 My latest tutu, now home with it’s very excited owner. The dancer has worn many tutus but this is the first tutu made especially for her. So happy I was able to make this for her

04.01.2022 Catching up on posting some recently completed tutus. Coral pink and gold

03.01.2022 A couple of pretty pastel tutus

03.01.2022 I finished this tutu the other day for a little dancer who is competing her solo tomorrow. Chookas Maggie! I hope a tutu in your favorite colour brings you lots of luck!

03.01.2022 Close up of 'Chandelier' necklace

03.01.2022 Two rows done just in time for afternoon tea!

03.01.2022 I’ve made a few tutus now with a Spanish theme or connection. I like that each time the client has been happy to move away from the traditional red and black. Really happy with how this ‘Spanish’ tutu has turned out.
