20.01.2022 Tutor Tip: Pre-installed Windows 10 apps If you are using Windows 10 you may find that some apps come pre-installed even though you may not have asked for or wanted them. Some of these can be removed easily but others are more difficult and some are in the start menu tiles while others may be in the alpha list. Examples include Skype, Office 365 (subscription system may be called Get Office or My Office), Money, News, Sports, some games.... If they are in the tiles just right click the tile and look for an ‘Uninstall’ menu item, then click on that. If they are in the alpha list scroll down until you reach an unwanted one and right click to see the same ‘Uninstall’ menu item to click to remove it. In both cases you should get a message telling you that the app and any related data will be removed. If you are sure click uninstall again to proceed. Source: apc magazine
