23.01.2022 We are so pleased that we have been able to see you back in the clinic. NSW Health have released additional COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control measures for health workers and those receiving services. This will mean that therapy will look a little different during the days and weeks to come. Please take the time to read the points below: - All therapists will be wearing a mask during sessions. -All caregivers who attend their child’s session will be required to wear a ...mask. -Children 10 years and over will be required to wear a mask in therapy rooms. If your child is unable to do this, please speak to your therapist about alternative therapy options. -Children under 10 years do not need to wear a mask, but can choose to if they wish. -Due to limitations in stock, we request that you wear your own mask if you have one. -If you do not have your own mask one will be provided. -If you are not attending the therapy session, please arrive on time (not early) as we will be unable to provide masks to those who are in the waiting room for drop-off and payment only. As this time is minimal and well under the 15minutes (as per COVID-19 Government recommendations) we have identified this as low risk. However, if you have a mask we would greatly appreciate you wearing it. -If you would feel more comfortable attending Teletherapy sessions, please speak with your therapist. For more information please see the NSW Government Amber Alert infograph - http://www.cec.health.nsw.gov.au//Amber-Alert-Moderate-Tra

22.01.2022 Important Information About Your Child's Therapy Sense Ability is committed to ensuring the utmost care to all our clients and families. We have been closely monitoring the guidelines and recommendations from the Australian Government and whilst we have not been ordered to close the doors on face to face therapy, we have decided that as of Tuesday 24th March we will be moving exclusively to TeleTherapy sessions. Sense Ability has had TeleTherapy sessions on our to do list for... a while. We see them as having great potential for supporting families that travel to us for intensives from rural areas or interstate. We also see them as being great options for when people can’t travel, like when kids are sick, when dads can’t make meetings, for IEPs and case conferences. And also, situations like we’re in at the moment where social distancing is encouraged. The current situation has led us to move this up our to-do list so that we can support families. This will enable families to continue to receive their services at the current intensity that has been recommended for them using consultation, education, direct treatment and collaborative problem solving within the home environment. Your therapist will be in contact with you over the next 2 days to connect, plan and answer questions that you might have. Senior therapists will continue to be available and on-call for all TeleTherapy sessions and therapists will continue to receive the high levels of support, training and guidance that is integral to the vision of MoveAbout Therapy Services and Sense Ability. Our number one priority has been and will always be the health and safety of our families and team members. For more information about TeleTherapy, please see the attached document. See more

We are open for services and we have every intention on staying open, unless expert advice changes. We are closely monitoring the advice of the Australian Government Department of Health regarding the spread ...of the virus. We are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to ensure your safety, including cleanliness and sterility of the clinic with specific attention to high traffic areas. Employees are regularly wiping down and sanitizing their personal workspace’s as well. We have additionally implemented strict employee guidelines instructing employees who feel ill or have a family member who is ill, to stay at home. Preventative Measures: Staff are regularly wiping down frequently used surfaces in the clinic using disinfectant Staff are washing all materials used in therapy after every use (using hot water) The ball pit is out of order until further notice Staff members are washing their hands frequently during the day and disinfecting their desks Clients are encouraged to wash their hands on arrival and after their session. ** If you prefer to have your child picked up and dropped off from your car, to avoid the waiting room area, please inform your clinician. We ask that you take action for yourself and your children to help prevent the spread of illness: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol content and is not expired. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Do not share eating utensils or drinking containers. We thank you for the opportunity to continue to be of service to you and your children.

01.01.2022 MoveAbout TeleTherapy Parent Survey: 97% feel supported With such a big change, we wanted to check in with our families to get their thoughts and feelings about engaging in telehealth during this period in which we have been unable to be in the clinic. It was reassuring to see that most families have been pleasantly surprised at how beneficial teletherapy can be and that we were still able to support them through these times. 90% of caregivers were happy with how we handled t...he transition. 80% were either very satisfied or extremely satisfied and 97% felt supported by MoveAbout. We were also able to take a look at the challenges related to using technology and engaging children during the process. Check out the results below. Today we emailed families a detailed report on the results and how we'll be improving this service as a result of the feedback.
