25.01.2022 We have such a wonderful community here in Milsons Point. This week when the nursery children went on their outdoor adventure a bus driver, who was waiting with an empty bus asked if they wanted to have a look. So the children hopped on to see the bus before it had to leave again. What a treat for the little ones! 23.01.2022 What's on for lunch this week? Here at Senses ELC our full time on-site chef Steven creates the most nutritious, tasty meals that appeal to even the youngest children we have. Sitting at the table, always under supervision of an educator, our little ones learn how to put their food in a bowl and have their lunch together. Of course it can be messy but that's part of the fun! And the learning is multifaceted. We offer breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack for all children as part of our fee. We love to talk about our integrated learning that carefully balances state-of-the-art technology based with hands-on exploration, play and structure. However, what we may be even more proud of is the social development and confidence we see in our older children. 09.01.2022 We have started to introduce film making to the children! A stop motion app to be exact. It can change a moving image to animation. We had the children select a partner and one choose to be a storyteller and the other the cameraman. They used their characters to create a story. 08.01.2022 You're never too young to try out your yoga skills! Some of our nursery children joined in on the mat this week to have some fun and learn more about their bodies and movement. Early yoga can be so beneficial as it helps with body awareness, brain development (due to stimulation of both sides) plus gross and fine motor skills.
