25.01.2022 PERSONAL SENSITIVITY TO EMOTIONAL PROCESSING STILL WANTED: 10 Highly and 18 Non-Highly Sensitive Participants for EEG Research. Please share this post if you know people that may be interested in participating. I would very much appreciate this in order to assist me to meet my target for my Honours research project.... Tanya Doyle (Psychology Honours Candidate) and Dr Graham Jamieson are conducting EEG research on the differences in implicit emotional processing between people who are thin-skinned (highly sensitive) versus people who are thick-skinned (non-highly sensitive). This research aims to establish neural evidence for whether highly sensitive people process positive or negative emotional information, more deeply than less-highly sensitive people. Tanya is looking for people over the age of 18, whom are not on medication for mental health or neural issues, or attending psychological therapy, to attend a private appointment in a Therapy Office at Erina on the Central Coast between 13/3 and 26/3, or at the University of New England (UNE) Campus in the Howie Building between 27/3 and 31/3, for 1.5 to 2 hours. The study includes being fitted with an EEG cap that will capture brain wave activity while viewing emotional facial expressions and answering a simple yes/no question. There is also a brief survey at the beginning that is confidential and asks questions about your personality and preferences. Your answers are anonymous and private. There will be no financial cost involved to participate in this study and participants will be entered into a draw with a chance to win one of two $100 gift vouchers at the Central Coast store of their choosing. Participants in Introductory Psychology will receive research participation credit. 22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, well the last two days of EEG scanning for my research on high sensitivity and emotional processing has been going very well. I've scanned 11 brains already! I still need to do more though. I have four Central Coast spots left to fill for participants in my EEG study on emotional processing, those times are: Sunday 19th 7pm, Tuesday 21st 3pm, Wednesday 22nd 3pm, Sunday 26th 7pm. I will still need to do another 8 people in Armidale at UNE. If anyone is interested in participating, please let me know and I will send you further information.

19.01.2022 I have just returned from the University where I presented my Sensory Processing Sensitivity Research Proposal. My plans to do an EEG research project this year looking at implicit conflict processing of emotional information in highly sensitive versus non-highly sensitive brains has been approved. The next step is to get Ethics Approval and to set up the computer task. Watch this space if you are interested in participating or following along. I am very excited about this project.

13.01.2022 The next meetup for Highly Sensitive People of the Central Coast is happening at Lee Rowans Gardenworld Cafe on Saturday 28th January at 2pm. Hoping to see some familiar faces there.

06.01.2022 SenseWell has moved to a new therapy room at Erina as of this week. The room is just up stairs next door to Eckersley's art supplies store, which is across the road from Harvey Norman Erina. I have some appointments available for face to face appointments on Wednesday Mornings or Evenings. Below is a photo of the space. I feel it is a very special space and I look forward to many wonderful therapy hours there with clients.
