24.01.2022 WHOA - I debated putting this forecast up, because we all know forecasting 7 days out is always dynamic and WILL change. But then I thought, we all need HO...PE this 2020 winter, right? Our meteorologist says it is "possible" that we will get 1 METRE of snow on Saturday/Sunday. "It is possible but it is a dynamic situation and could change. It’s looking similar to the event 2-3 weeks ago with a big infeed of moisture from the east. Only concern will be temps at lower levels. I.e. risk of some rain at the base. It’s not going to be a dump of dry powder but certainly has the potential to be a big base builder." 14.01.2022 Further to the story yesterday on the trace of Covid found in Perisher sewage. This response today to say Perisher is NOT a hotspot From the NSW Health Departme...nt. There has been some misinterpretation of yesterday’s media statement about the SARC-CoV-2 virus detection in the sewage in Perisher. This is NOT the same has having a positive COVID-19 case in the community. Perisher is NOT a Hotspot as there have been NO cases of COVID-19 detected here to date. Perisher IS an area of increased surveillance. We are asking anyone who is in Perisher, or has been to Perisher in the last 2 weeks to CLOSELY MONITOR FOR SYMPTOMS. If you have ANY SYMPTOMS (even very mild) PLEASE GET TESTED and ISOLATE awaiting your results. Please also remind your staff and guests to be vigilant with hygiene, cleaning and physical distancing. The Perisher clinic is currently operating 9:30 2:00 pm everyday from the NPWS building until further notice to encourage additional testing. We do NOT need to test otherwise healthy staff in the Valley at this stage. If there are any changes to this situation we will let you know.
