16.01.2022 Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 837, series of 1991, the country dedicates the entire month of November each year to the Library and Information Servi...ces (LIS) Month. The month-long event is meant to recognize the invaluable contribution of the country’s libraries and information centers to the continuous pursuit of knowledge. The 30th LIS month’s theme, LibREAL: Relate, Engage, Advocate, Lead, stresses the role of libraries in attaining sustainable development goals, which is incorporated in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022. On November 4, 2020, the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) will be spearhead the 30th LIS Month Virtual Opening Ceremonies, via their website and official Facebook page. This will be followed by virtual activities throughout November which will be held by various libraries and organizations across the country. At the end of the month, on November 30, the 30th LIS Month Virtual Closing Ceremony will be held along with the awarding ceremony for the winners of various LIS contests. 10.01.2022 Posted @withregram @dfaphl The NCCA, through Sentro Rizal, invites Filipinos around the world to join ANINAG: Photo Essay Competition, with the theme Pagpupu...gay sa Migranteng Filipino Tungo sa Pagbangon Mula sa Pandemya, in celebration of Month of Overseas Filipinos (MOF) and International Migrants Day in December. The competition is open to overseas Filipinos (OFs), including migrant workers and immigrants, aged 15 and above. Aside from highlighting the talents of Filipinos in photography and storytelling, the competition shall also create a space where OFs can share their unique stories in this time of pandemic.
