As winners of the local awards, both Yalumba and Tscharke Wines are now in the running to win an International Best of Wine Tourism Award. Yalumba - winners of the Architecture and Landscape category which recognises wineries with unique architectural and landscape design elements or characteristics, whether historic or contemporary, that enhance the visitor experience. Yalumba were also recognised as Winner of Wine Tourism Services for the Adelaide, South Australia Great Wine Capital. Tscharke Wines - winner of the Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices category which celebrates the champions of sustainability and our environment. The award also recognises a winery (or vineyard) that has implemented environmental practices and sustainable innovations and developments, both in the vineyards, or the winery that enhance the visitor experience.
