24.01.2022 Rematch for Klara Graham - I promise this one is a snake.

24.01.2022 Another Eastern Brown

24.01.2022 Well the warm weather has increased the snake activity over the past few weeks, here's a few from today

23.01.2022 When I was a kid I would have loved this! Ok - I might like it now too...

22.01.2022 Eastern brown snake - near Forest Lake

20.01.2022 Awesome painting on blunder rd, Forest Lake

20.01.2022 That's 3 carpet pythons balled up together! It is breeding season so not too much of an uncommon sight. I would have loved to leave them be but the resident was adamant they had to go. It was funny though as they thought it was just one python!

20.01.2022 Rather full carpet python

17.01.2022 Here's an easier one to start the week off. Can you spot it?

15.01.2022 And here is the snake in the grass from 2 February. The photo source ID's this as a rattlesnake, but obviously as a few of you pointed out, it's too blurry to confirm.

14.01.2022 Bathurst weekend! It's obvious where this woma python's allegiance lies. How about everyone else? Who do you think will win tomorrow?

14.01.2022 Eastern brown in the hoop bag.

12.01.2022 Emerald Tree Boa

10.01.2022 A true black and yellow tree snake!

10.01.2022 Imagine the eggs this little lady would leave for you this weekend! Happy Easter everyone :)

10.01.2022 Gorgeous little Barn Owl

09.01.2022 Pair of brown tree snakes camouflaged amongst cabling.

09.01.2022 So big it needed a police escort!

09.01.2022 Northside snake catcher David Martin in the Courier Mail

09.01.2022 I think you'd be forgiven for not spotting this fer-de-lance snake (Bothrops asper) in the forests of Costa Rica.

08.01.2022 Relaxing snake massage, anyone? Anyone?

07.01.2022 Yum - need to make this!

07.01.2022 Admittedly this one has nothing to do with herpetology, but I can't help being impressed by the mimicry in this image. Just a pile of leaves?

06.01.2022 This is the Elephant Hawk-moth (Deilephila elpenor) in its caterpillar form. When startled it pulls its trunk into its foremost body segment and looks remarkably like a snake, which is understandably off-putting for birds who prey on them. The species is found throughout Britain and Ireland. Its range extends across Europe, Russia, and into China, northern parts of the Indian subcontinent, Japan and Korea.

06.01.2022 Compare the meerkat!

05.01.2022 This is the dead-leaf toad (Bufo typhonius) found in the Amazon basin. They live on the forest floor, eating ants, and doing a bloody good job camouflaging themselves by mimicking dead leaves.

04.01.2022 Until I was told what kind of herp I was looking for, I couldn't see this one, the camo is too good. Let me know if you want a clue.

04.01.2022 Here is the fer-de-lance snake (Bothrops asper) from 30 January in case it's bugging anyone who hasn't found it yet. Like I said, I'm pretty sure you'd be forgiven for walking past this one in the forest without a second glance.

02.01.2022 Aldabra Giant Tortoise!

01.01.2022 And here is the very well camouflaged frog hidden in the image from 31 January for anyone still bugged by it.
