22.01.2022 In the week since I last visited April and the Brumby mare Onyx, Onyx had really started to let her guard down and let her gentleness slip through. April has been helping Onyx get used to having her feet picked up and for the first time when I took these photos, taking a bit of weight on her back with a saddleblanket. I can highly recommend the Duck Ragu gnocchi, truly, I closed my eyes to take in every morsel of those flavours! 02.01.2022 This photo was a part of the recent Silo Exhibition at the Dookie Artists Tree gallery. Unfortunately now closed. It was only open for a few days. These silos are diagonally opposite our house in Dookie and we walk past them every time we head to the shop,cafe or pub. (were looking forward to the next Friday night - locals gathering at the The Gladstone Dookie when this is all over!) But in the meantime, awesome takeaway food! Anyway, back to the silo. This fella reminds me ...of the Easter Island sculptures, it seems to have a mysterious life-force and I love the way the shadows move across its surface throughout the day. As things have changed for me as a photographer, I am using this as an opportunity to display photography available for purchase as artwork, either digitally, printed or large mounted works.
