25.01.2022 , , . , . . !... Dearest followers, Due to the current circumstances surrounding Coronavirus, our Board has decided to postpone Serbian and folklore lesson, until next term. The well being and safety of our children as well as the wider community is our highest priority at this time. In the meantime, we will be in touch with our members and students about online lessons that will be offered. Take care of yourselves and your loved one's!

25.01.2022 02. 03. , . , . , , : , , , , ... . . . , . . , . *********************************************** At the start of this month, we had the pleasure of attending our first Academy camp, held on the 2nd and 3rd of November, at Edmund Park, accredited school camp. To our delight and to celebrate our accomplishments thus far, we were able to enjoy all the facilities the camp had on offer. We expanded our classroom learning to the beautiful outdoors and incorporated learning life skills, by utilizing the camp's basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool, rock climbing, and numerous other activities. We later went bushwalking through the beautiful forest, resting at various lookouts to admire the unforgettable views of the mountains surrounding the camp. We learned a lot about the land that the camp sits on, local flora and fauna, as well as bushwalking tips and tricks by our amazing camp guide. The night finished around the bonfire, roasting marshmallows whilst listening to the beautiful songs sung by our children. The following day, we continued with activities and after lunch, we celebrated the birthday of one of our students. The highlight of the camp has got to be the connections that were forged and further strengthened between parents and students alike. We would love to share our heartfelt appreciation to every parent who joined us in the fun but also assisted in the organization of the entire weekend and its inclusions, ensuring this will be an unforgettable and memorable experience for all attendees. 23.01.2022 Jedna od najmlaih organizacija nae zajednice u Australiji, Srpska kulturna akademija (Serbian Cultural Academy) iz Gold Kousta, jo nije navrila ni est meseci a ve se svrstava meu najaktivnija etnika drutva u Kvinslendu. Ova akademija, koja je nastala na Vidovdan ove godine inicijativom slone grupe majki, a sa ciljem obrazovanja srpske dece i njihovog zajednikog odrastanja, nastavila je sa mnogobrojnim aktivnostima i proteklog vikenda. 22.01.2022 We are sorry to announce the cancellation of the entertainment prior to the movie, organised by Events Cinema. Unfortunately, it is out of their and especially our control. The movie and raffle is still going ahead and commencing at 6:00pm sharp. Please arrive at 5:30pm and meet us in our allocated area in the foyer. We can't wait to watch this movie with you all. Last Friday, a special visitor, Sam O`Connor MP, visited our Academy, where we introduced him to our work while enjoying some delicious Serbian cakes and coffee. With great enthusiasm, the children showcased Sam parts of their upcoming play "Tourist", which they have been preparing with their teachers over the last few months. Our smallest children are already busy learning about body parts, writing and drawing, whilst the bigger children have been busy working on their presentations about the school holiday.... The children are really enjoying learning the new folkloric dances that have been choreographed, picking up the steps so quickly!

In class recently, we had a special guest, professional athlete, Sinia Pea, who represented Serbia and Montenegro in 400m hurdles and 4 x 400m relays, at the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney. The children were mesmerised listening to Sinia talk all about his sporting achievements, perseverance, and effort that was required to get to representing our country. They got to hold and wear his medals. We are extremely proud to have such talented people within our community, to be role models for our kids. See more

The children and parents alike, enjoyed the trip, while speaking in our native language meant we met new members of ...our community. Classes commence this coming Friday at 6:00pm.
