24.01.2022 Cypress Essential Oil - what a wonderful oil with some amazing properties - heals wounds and infections, good for muscle cramps and soreness, aids in toxin removal from the body, promotes blood clotting, fantastic for respiratory conditions, it is a natural deodorant and relieves anxiety. We love Cypress oil and of course it is one of the ingredients in our bite cream!

22.01.2022 Vitamin E Is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and can absorb the energy from UV light, which damages skin and may lead to wrinkles and even skin cancer. It works in conjunction with Vitamin C to strengthen cell walls. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin and is the most abundant antioxidant in the skin. It is essential for protecting the cells of the skin from free radical damage due to sun exposure, however deficiency is very common, particularly in those with inflammatory gut conditions. The best sources of Vitamin E are almonds, eggs, walnuts, avocados, asparagus, spinach and other leafy greens, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, and olives.

Deficiency of this mineral has also been linked to poor gut health. Sources of selenium include brazil nuts, walnuts, red snapper, liver, herring, onion, and poultry.

16.01.2022 Gotta love sugar scrub - so quick and easy to make! Here’s a recipe for the one I just made this is so easy and simple and takes about 2 minutes to make. I use it on my face but some of you may find the raw sugar too abrasive so feel free to use it on your body only or substitute for a finer sugar. The lemongrass oil smells divine and is a natural antiseptic and astringent so lovely for toning. Lemongrass and Coconut Sugar Scrub 5 spoonfuls of ra...w sugar 3 spoonfuls of coconut oil (melted) 5-10 drops of lemongrass essential oil Feel free to change up the type of sugar and oil the coconut oil smells delicious even without adding any essential oil but you can use any good quality vegetable oil and you can add the essential oil of your choice. 14.01.2022 Qigong (pronounced chee gong) roughly translates as life energy cultivation. It is an ancient Chinese system of body postures and movement co-ordinated with the breath and incorporating meditation. It is used for the purposes of health, spirituality, recreation, exercise, relaxation, meditation and self-healing. I have been practicing Qigong regularly for about a year now and I have found it to be an amazing way to relax and feel centred. I call it moving meditation and is perfect for anyone who perhaps struggles (like I did) with traditional meditation and sitting still.
