23.01.2022 Compulsory Requirement All new clients are required to have a patch test 24 hours before any Lash Lifting or Tinting treatments. I am fully prepared to lose business if you get offended because you need one. Im more than happy for you to go find a therapist that doesnt do patch tests. Patch tests could save you and myself heartache if a treatment causes a serious reaction. It does not matter if you have had one with another salon or clinic, you have not had one with m...e. It does not matter if you have had treatment for years, many things occur that can change that, such as hormones, pregnancy, illness, etc. I can also use entirely different products than your last therapist. also my insurance will not cover me in the event of a reaction if I have not performed a patch test. All new Lash Lift and Tinting clients will now be required to fill out and sign a consult form before treatment. Please do not assume it will never happen to you, this is why I I require it. Thank you x See more
21.01.2022 I have been advocating Magnesium for years! I stock magnesium in salon fo those wanting to up their intake via transdermal delivery. It is the King of Minerals & your body desperately needs it. #Repost @lonestarketogirl with @make_repost Repost from @drbarbwoegerer... September is PCOS Awareness month and the aim is to help improve the lives of those affected by PCOS; so they can overcome their symptoms as well as prevent and reduce risks for life threatening conditions. Magnesium is a super important mineral that is involved in over 600 enzymatic reactions in the body, so it does ALOT. Women with PCOS tend to be deficient in magnesium and there are several reasons why. Here are a few: Diets that are low in magnesium rich foods Insulin resistance lowers magnesium levels High amounts of alcohol, sugar and processed foods High protein diets Eating too many foods that contain oxalic acid Medications such as birth control pill or diuretics High stress levels That's a ton of factors that can affect magnesium and why it's important that women with PCOS get enough of this crucial mineral. Some of the biggest benefits of magnesium for women with PCOS are: IMPROVES INSULIN RESISTANCE: one of magnesium's many roles is in glucose and insulin regulation to help glucose get out of the blood and into the cells where its used for energy. A deficiency in magnesium prevents glucose from entering the cells and thus women with PCOS have difficulty regulating blood sugar levels. HEART HEALTH/LOWERS BLOOD PRESSURE: it's known that women with PCOS often have a higher risk of other cardiovascular risk factors, which includes high blood pressure. The more magnesium in your cells, the more likely you are to have lower blood pressure. STRESS/ANXIETY: magnesium works to calm the excitability of the nervous system to help reduce stress and anxiety. This reduces nervousness, insomnia, anger, apathy and heart palpitations. Magnesium has also been shown to promote better sleep. INFLAMMATION: many women with PCOS have higher levels of inflammation (due to in See more
19.01.2022 In order for us to take care of others, we must first take care of ourselves. So many people forget to put themselves first in life. If you neglect yourself, this is a recipe for disaster. ... Due to the nature of our busy lives, taking a break to look after yourself might sometimes feel like a luxury. We often believe that pushing ourselves to the point of exhaustion will lead to a bigger reward. But is that really the case? Without self care, it will be hard for you to function at your best. To prevent burnout and keep stress from taking over, you need to take the time to look after yourself. Besides, taking breaks to look after yourself will help you refocus especially when solving complicated problems. No matter what stage you are in life, taking care of yourself should be a priority. The most powerful relationship you will ever have is the relationship with yourself. Steve Maraboli

08.01.2022 #Repost @drstevenlin with @make_repost Bone marrow creates bones, teeth, and your immune system. Your hard skeletal system is an integral part of your immune system, and they operate with the same signalling system. ... Bone marrow, one of the primary lymphoid organs, harbors immune cells including hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), lymphocytes, monocytes/macrophages, and neutrophils, all of which share microenvironments with bone cells such as osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and osteocytes. B In a stressful situation, your hands may sweat and your heart may pound. A paper in Cell Metabolism suggests that a less obvious organyour skeletal systemis what starts the fight-or-flight response that gets you out of harm's way. According to this new research in lab mice, an acute stress response is impossible without a hormone called osteocalcinwhich, is made in bone marrow. The immune and skeletal systems share a variety of molecules, including cytokines, chemokines, hormones, receptors, and transcription factors. Bone cells interact with immune cells under physiological and pathological conditions. Osteoimmunology was created as a new interdisciplinary field in large part to highlight the shared molecules and reciprocal interactions between the two systems in both heath and disease. Osteoimmunology has become indispensable for understanding the pathogenesis of a number of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In the bone destruction disease, which pathogenic helper T cell subsets induce bone erosion through misregulation of immune signals. Bone erosion in arthritis occurs at the interface of activated immune system and bone. Much has been done to understand how activated T cells induce bone erosion/ Th17 cells were found to be exclusively responsible for the destruction of bone. Healthy bones and teeth mean a healthy strong immune system and cross over in their presentation of disease. Here are some of the main components to strengthen the bone and immune interface: 1)Melatonin 2) Vitamin D3 3) Vitamin A 4) Vitamin K2 5) Magnesium Did you know the bone and teeth connection?

06.01.2022 IS NATURAL BETTER THAN SYNTHETIC FOR SKIN? By Dr Ernst Eiselen and Dr Des Fernandes How often do we hear the claim that one cosmetic is superior to another because it uses natural or botanical ingredients? What does natural even mean? Nature is full of very dangerous substances snake venom, botulism, ricin, and malaria. Confusingly, mans interference with a substance can also make it safer, not more dangerous. Take Botulinum it is the most toxic substance known...Continue reading

05.01.2022 The Happy Eye Cream SNAP-8 peptide contains an anti-wrinkle octapeptide that is an elongation of the hexapeptide ARGIRELINE peptide. Therefore, it reduces expression wrinkles through a Botulinum Toxin-like mechanism of action. This anti-aging peptide helps to reverse these signs of aging by working under the skin to relax muscles. It provides the nutrients that skin needs to function correctly. Under the layers of the face, we have some vital muscles, which make it possibl...e for us to create expressions. As we repeatedly smile, blink, speak, and squint, our muscles begin to become more and more contracted under the skin. This prominently expresses itself around the mouth and eyes and on the forehead, as we mature. These muscles become permanently contracted, causing wrinkles on the surface of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles are so common and so widespread that we even have nicknames for them. Around the eyes, we have crows feet, the 11's, around the mouth, lip lines, vertical creases, parentheses, and worry lines on the forehead. How does Snap 8 Work? It inhibits these contractions, in much the same way that Botox does. Snap 8 captures and blocks the neurotransmitters that tell these muscles to contract. As the muscles receive fewer and fewer of those neurotransmitters, they begin to relax, and therefore, the wrinkles that they cause, also start to relax. Though Snap 8 is produced synthetically, the body responds to it as if it is a naturally occurring peptide. This means that using Snap 8 will not irritate sensitive skin because the body does not try to rid itself of the peptides.
05.01.2022 THE HAPPY EYE CREAM Anti ageing at its finest! LeuphasylA Botox-Like Peptide.... Pentapeptide-18 reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. A five amino-acid peptide that is claimed to target expression wrinkles that appear due to facial movements. Its effect is similar to the older and more famous Argireline peptide. They achieve similar results but in a different way. The two together work in a synergistic way (the solution is trade named Argirelox) hindering the muscle contraction process in two different stages. The in-vivo (made on real people) test by the manufacturer showed that after 28 days 5% Leuphasyl alone reduced wrinkles by 11% and 5% Leuphasyl + 5% Argireline reduced wrinkles on average by 25% with max values up to 47%.

03.01.2022 NIACINAMIDE A well-functioning epidermis is essential to protect us from free radicals. The more our epidermal lipid barrier is stabilized, the more it can fully absorb the vitamins and nutrients from our skin care products and achieve optimal results. However, as we age, our skins ability to heal and retain moisture weakens, leaving us prone to wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and dullness. Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a powerful antioxidant that improv...es the skins texture and tone. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties. Water-soluble and suitable for all skin types, this vitamin is often used to treat skin conditions like rosacea and acne and is not known to cause any adverse reactions. It can even be combined with your favorite skin care products and ingredients, like vitamins A and C, retinol and hydroxy acids to boost their performance.
