25.01.2022 Magic sunsets at Marks Point. We are now officially fully booked until Mid January 2021. Never in a million years did I see our beautiful BnB being so popular, but I am so truely thankful. Thank you so much to all our wonderful guests, my family and friends.

24.01.2022 Waiting for the sunset - with bubbles

23.01.2022 This week we actually managed to block off bookings and spend a few days at the boatshed... can't believe how lucky we are, everyone is loving our little piece of Serenity... so much so, we had to book it 3 weeks in advance .

22.01.2022 Busy week this week, out with the old broken window and in with the new. The view was always special but now so much clearer and almost surreal. With so many other windows, the windows above the bed were never opened, so it made sense to put in fixed pain glass this time around. Absolutely stoked with the end result.

21.01.2022 Another spectacular sunset at Marks Point. Looking forward to the day we can open our Bed and Breakfast again.

20.01.2022 We purchased Marks Point just over 12 months ago and all I have ever wanted to do was renovate the bathroom in the B and B. Well we have finally done it... Hope you like it.... I thought it would be more fun to include both the before and after pics

17.01.2022 We became BnB hosts in late October in 2019 and we have just been awarded Superhost for a second time in a row... absolutely stoked :-)

16.01.2022 Road testing our new BBQ for our guests. We think you will love it... sipping on your favourite drink, cooking up a storm and just taking time to breathe... whilst watching the sunset

15.01.2022 What happens when you procrastinate.... you miss out... well that's exactly what happened to me this year. I really wanted to do a Whale watching tour with Coastal XP... but with the boatshed being consistently booked out, time just ran out.... but not for next year.... the dates for next year are locked into my head... July 2021 through to the end of October... I will be on the first tour of the season In the meantime, Dom from Coastal XP assures me there are other tours we can do which are just as popular :-) Check out their webpage https://www.coastxp.com/. .

14.01.2022 Just when you think your day can't get any better, you see this amazing sight. JetBuzz Watersports, @jetbuzzwatersports at Cams Wharf do boat hire and explore the Lake and hopefully see our resident dolphin for yourself :-)

13.01.2022 Wow this was definitely a pleasant shock in my Inbox! Serenity by the Lake has been awarded a #TravellerReviewAwards2021 by Booking.com Thank you to all our guests who have stayed with us over the last year. Without your feedback this wouldn't have been possible. Looking forward to kicking it up a notch in 2021.... Think I might just break open one of our Complimentary Champagnes and celebrate tonight

12.01.2022 Never thought so many of our guests would be so into fishing just like me. . So glad we provide two fishing rods for our guests to use, together with a fully stocked tackle box, prawns and mullet bait in the freezer. All you need to do is walk onto our private jetty during your stay and fish away

11.01.2022 No words needed :-)

10.01.2022 Love the way every window has an amazing waterview of the Lake Macquarie.... especially at Sunset. Won't be long now when we will be ready to start accepting reservations again ... yay :

10.01.2022 A nice bottle of bubbles watching the sunset. We have found wine glass spikes, so you won't have to worry about knocking over your glass. We definitely wouldn't want you to waste a drop now, would we?

10.01.2022 We are feeling pretty happy. After starting our Air B and B business in late October 2019, we just became superhosts. People are slowly realising, we put in every effort to ensure your stay is everything you want it to be.

10.01.2022 My bottle of red came out early today. Our new Weber Q was delivered by Appliances Online this morning. Some people just shouldn't be left alone to assemble things. Nothing wrong with the instructions for 99.9% of the population Oh well, at least our future guests will hopefully love having BBQ's on the Lake

08.01.2022 WE'VE JUST HAD OUR FIRST REVIEW SINCE REOPENING AFTER OUR RENOVATIONS We reopened our bookings on 7 August, 2020 and had our first guests over the weekend through Booking.com. Since then I've been shocked to have 8 more bookings for August and September . Pretty excited our beautiful place is able to welcome guests again to give them a chance to get away and relax from what is a stressful time for so many. Remember to take a step back from the chaos, check in with yourself ...and find serenity. Weekenda.com Destination NSW Traveller Newcastle Hunter Tourism and Accommodation Centre

08.01.2022 View from the top deck of the main house overlooking Sandy Island and just watching everyone absolutely enjoying the spectacular weather today.

05.01.2022 School holidays and weekends are always buzzing on the Lake. Love our location. All the blue tones of the water and sky are just so mezmerising.

04.01.2022 It doesn't get much better than total privacy. Thats what we promise at Serenity by the Lake. Do as much or as little as you like. Fish, kayak... sit back and have a glass of wine... just lose yourself for a few days.

04.01.2022 Now this is a sunset...Loving the new window more and more with its uninterrupted view of another beautiful sunset ... no filters, no touch ups, just mother nature at work
