04.01.2022 PACKET DYE COLORS This photo is the result of 5 hours work including 2 basin lightening services done on a packet dye BLACK hair. Swipe to see the befores!! This is not the end goal for my client, she would like to go bright blonde balayage but is aware of the process. Most hairdressers will agree with me that when wanting to strip any hair that’s had packet dye color is a PAIN.......not only does it make it difficult for the lightner to penetrate through but it l...ifts all unevenly, some areas brighten well leaving others still dark so you are left with a Patchy colour. Therefor you have no choice but to drop down a shade or two when toning to try make it all blend. You cannot expect to go from packet dye colour from a black or dark brown to blonde in one or two visits and still have hair left on your head (IT IS IMPOSSIBLE MY FRIENDS ) this is a process and it is also 100% recommended to use ONLY salon shampoo and conditioners with no Silicon, Salphates or parabens.....keeping the hair well maintained inbetween lightening visits will ensure the strength and health of the hair. Please please PLEASE think twice about when wanting to go darker especially about doing it with packet dye colours, it’s honeslty not worth the after effect of wanting to reverse it all and also keep in mind that Hairdressers are not magicians we can only push the hair as much as it can handle when lightening without causing breakage. Going lighter even with hair that hasn’t been packet dyed is a process and everyone’s hair lightens different. Hope this clarifies some things for people out there reading it See more
