Add ground spices and stir through. Add lemon juice to mashed avocado and season with a little pink salt and pepper. Chop fresh herbs and mix through. 16.01.2022 .... What an inspiring weekend with an amazing group of ladies Thank you Amy from Bare & Wilde for having me as part of this beautiful retreat weekend at the stunning Smiths Beach Resort ... Over the three days we immersed ourselves in yoga, meditation, sound healing, hiking and even tried our hand at painting. We were nourished with delicious food by @Jessica Lowe and Valerie Gamer Asa who also shared with us their knowledge and passion for food and nourishing our body and mind. On the final night we were treated to a fireside chat Helen Janneson Bense at a gorgeous indoor picnic set up by Namastay Tipi I am so grateful for the opportunity to lead a guided meditation and aromatherapy workshop for the ladies over the weekend. The first meditation session was run at the beginning of the retreat, when we were all new acquaintances. What I loved the most was leading the meditation on the final morning, after I had come to know everyone more and learnt more of their stories. We started as acquaintances, made beautiful connections and left as friends....

14.01.2022 , , Essential oils are no longer just a fragrance - for me they are a way to naturally support my family’s health and well being using therapeutic grade essential oils. When I first began using essential oils for my family, I thoroughly researched what was available before purchasing. I wanted a product that was high quality, pure grade with no artificial fragrances or synthetics. ... My research led me to Doterra and I quickly discovered there is so much more to doterra than just their beautiful oils. What Makes doTERRA Different? When you use a bottle of doTERRA essential oil, you’re using an oil that is pure. There are no contaminants, fillers, or adulterations. The essential oil industry did not have standards to ensure purity, so doTERRA created one. Every batch of doTERRA essential oils goes through a rigorous testing processwell beyond what would be considered good enough. After that, each oil is sent to an independent third party for further testing and validation. Every oil sold by doTERRA is responsibly and sustainably sourced. doTERRA focuses on sourcing practices that will produce only the highest quality essential oilsno matter the cost. We make it a top priority to protect the environment during the production process and provide fair treatment of all harvesters and growers. If you would like to know more about these pure grade essential oils, or would like to sample and try their benefits, please reach out to me via the link in my bio See more

13.01.2022 I needed to help myself first... When I first began using essential oils, my focus was to support my children. Their health, emotions, moods, and sleep. I have always been invested in supporting my family as naturally as possible, and with the discovery of essential oils, I felt I had something that was effective, easy to use, and I enjoyed learning about. ... I threw myself into learning the different ways the oils could support the family. After a few weeks, I could feel the change, the shift in moods, and the calmness that had come over the house. Then I realized, the oils were working But it wasn't just the oils ... It was me Prior to using the oils I was a very stressed mum. Constantly worrying, hardly sleeping, always overthinking. To some that know me, this may come as a shock, I was conscious of showing these emotions, so would often cover up my challenges. After the first fortnight of using the oils, it occurred to me that I was feeling stronger. I was less emotionally reactive and I was feeling happier + healthier. It was in this moment, that I realised what we always know, but often neglect to do....for us to be there for others, we need to first be there for ourselves. For my kids to feel calm and safe, I needed to show up for them in a calm and balanced manner, and be in control of my own emotions. = The oils helped my children become more balanced and calm, but, more importantly they helped me. They allowed me to take a step back from stressful situations and see things more rationally. And when I realised this, and took ownership of my emotions it had a profound and positive impact on the whole family x See more

12.01.2022 As we look to the new year, hold on to what is good and let go of what is bad. After a year that has been very different from what we imagined, and more challenging than we expected, I realized that through its ups and downs it has taught me many things. 12.01.2022 What I wish I knew...... When I first started meditating I was in the mindset of "I can't meditate, I am too busy and will never be able to empty my mind" For many years I had heard of the benefits of meditation, but I was reluctant to give it a go. ... Below are three things I wish I had known when I first began meditating - sometimes all it takes is a simple mind-shift to enjoy meditation and be more open to receiving the benefits. 1. Guided meditations can be just as soothing and beneficial as sitting in silence. Many people believe that to meditate you are required to sit in stillness and empty the mind. For most of us this is extremely difficult and often why people give up, or never attempt a meditation practice. A guided meditation gives the mind a focus point and something to come back to when your mind wanders, encouraging you to stay in the present moment by following their voice. 2. You don't need to meditate for long periods of time Any meditation is better than none Whilst a long meditation of half an hour is powerful, never underestimate the benefit of a short meditation. If your daily routine is more conducive to a 5-10 minute meditation it is better that you commit and engage in this practice than not meditating at all. 3. The point of meditation is not to empty your mind or control your thoughts. I am a self confessed control freak! I like to have everything perfect and feel best when I am in control. So my initial meditation sessions were frustrating ......why? Because I thought to succeed in meditation I needed to control my mind, to control my thoughts. The point of meditation, however, is not to control our mind, but to encourage us to become the observer our thoughts, empowering us to choose which thoughts to engage with and which to release. What are your challenges when meditating? See more
