25.01.2022 WORLD RECORD by Brigid Kosgei (KEN) at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon yesterday! Brigid ran an amazing 2:14:04 to break the record held by Paula Radcliffe set at the 2003 London Marathon by 81 seconds! What a weekend in the marathon world!!

25.01.2022 Attention marathon running fans! Eliud Kipchoge will be attempting to run sub 2:00 hours for the marathon (42.195km) in Austria this Saturday 12 October. The exact start time is yet to be confirmed but it will be between 5am-9am (which is 1pm-5pm QLD time). Similar to the 2:00:25 he ran in 2017 as part of Nike’s ‘Breaking2’ project, if he runs sub 2:00 on Saturday it won’t be an official World Record (which is the 2:01:39 he set at Berlin Marathon last year) but it will stil...l be a ground breaking achievement and an amazing feat of human endeavour! The attempt will be streamed live on YouTube and according to the INEOS 1:59 website also shown live on Channel 7 in Australia.....

A special shout out to Hannah on her very well deserved HUGE marathon PB (3:43:55), to Jody on her meticulously planned half marathon debut with a negative split to boot (2:04:58) and to Rowena who strategically sliced a few seconds off her half marathon time from the Gold Coast to record her second half marathon PB this year (2:16:02)!
