16.01.2022 Are you? Honestly? Life as a parent is tricky at the best of times, but now especially as we can’t catch up and offload like we usually do. Deep and meaningful convos just aren’t the same over text, are they? Even so, take the time out tomorrow to check in on the ones you love, a text is better than nothing, and you have no idea how it might help the other person out.... Also, if you’re struggling yourself, it’s ok to be selfish and reserve your energy for yourself. You need that energy too, and you’ll check in again when you can. Me? 15.01.2022 So many makers in Melbourne and surrounds are struggling at the moment, and it’s really important to support them if you can. If that’s not now, follow along the ones that catch your eye, and then you’ll be more likely to remember them down the track. Pretty much every single market has been cancelled this year, and people are trying to deal with everything that is happening in the world, all while (fucking) ‘pivoting’. Your support, through likes, follows..., shares and orders, means the world, now more than ever. 13.01.2022 Today is National ‘Buy Aussie’ Day - and what better way to celebrate than giving a massive shout out to these amazing brands that helped give my cousin a much needed mental health boost. For those that missed it, my cuz is in stage 4 lockdown in Melb and all of her family is in Bendigo. She recently had her third baby, and the birth was horrific, ending in an emergency C section. Her older kids are 1 & 3 (now 4).... When I asked what I could do to help her, these brands asked if they could send her something to help put a smile on her face. Some gorgeous matching organic @therest_ PJs for the kids, a @tootsandco personalised coin purse (hello luxury), a @thelittleflameco candle - coffee scented, obviously, and a whole range of skin care from @stemorganics to make my cuz feel like a new women.
