This information covers the CVAI and CR scores and the level of their severity. Based on those scores the orthotist might recommend the baby to get a 3D printed helmet which will be designed based on the scan taken at the appointment.

The important values he will indicate are Cranial Vault Asymmetry Index (CVAI) and Cephalic Ratio (CR). Those values represent the severity of the Plagiocephaly (CVAI) and Brachycephaly (CR). To identify the recommended treatment 2 separate scales are available one for Plagiocephaly and another for Brachycephaly. If the babys severity level is in the nor...mal or mild categories, a helmet therapy is not suggested.
