23.01.2022 We have had some freezing weather lately, down to around minus 8 one morning! We're not quite used to the cold yet, but we're getting there. Our new chicks are being kept warm and cosy with their heat lamps in our hand-built brooder. Sometimes I wish I had one of those for myself

19.01.2022 Our almost 5-week-old chooks have been enjoying life on pasture for the past few weeks. So nice to see them exercising their natural instincts from such an early age.

17.01.2022 300 wonderful people like our page! Thanks everyone :)

15.01.2022 Little helper Matilda gathered up fallen pears to give as a treat to our chooks. They love them! We inherited many, many fruit trees on this new farm, mostly pears but a few apples, nuts and cherries, and some grapes too! All very exciting for people from the subtropics :)

12.01.2022 Weekend plans sorted! #smallfarms #smallbiz #byhand #goodtimes

05.01.2022 A big step for our farm... Purchasing a Mobanetta egg grader! We are so excited to finally have this machine. Prior to this we were weighing eggs individually... this is so much easier. Happy days!

04.01.2022 You may have noticed a change on our egg cartons this week... we have officially moved to Stanthorpe! The last of our chooks have made the journey and are settling in beautifully. We will miss being in the Redlands but we'll be continuing to deliver our eggs there each week so it's kinda like we have two homes now! Thank you to our amazing customers who have supported us so far you guys are the best. Honestly. Can't wait to share the next chapter of our farm with you all. Onward and upward!

03.01.2022 Grey and gorgeous out on the farm this afternoon

01.01.2022 Guys, it's so exciting even though I forgot to share... we have meat birds! These ones are our trial and because we will be processing them ourselves on the farm, we aren't able to sell them (bummer!)... BUT if all goes well we will raise more and have delicious pastured chooks to sell to our lovely locals. If this sounds good to you please like or comment so we can start to gauge interest. Hope you're all as excited as I am!
