25.01.2022 Servite Youth Ministry team members were among 6000 participants at the 2019 Australian Catholic Youth Festival this week. Opportunities for prayer and reflection were complemented by live music, dance sessions and workshops exploring faith, including a Write for Rights social justice activity coordinated by Servite students.



24.01.2022 Our Year 8 Literacy class connected virtually with one of Australia’s most versatile authors, Ken Spillman, in a session facilitated by Shane McGurk, Co-Founder and Director of Next Learning. Students greatly enjoyed the opportunity to develop their creative writing skills via live, constructive feedback.

23.01.2022 Congratulation to our Junior Netball team who won their finals today against MLC. Servite won with 44 to 37. The team has shown great perseverance and resilience this season. Well done!

22.01.2022 Year 11 students Anika Desai, Chloe Lazaroo, Brandon Scriva and Kristian Triscari have finished filming a special project. They joined other Catholic school students to work with Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB and a production crew to develop a video promoting LifeLink Catholic Caring Agencies. A positive demonstration of Faith in Action.



22.01.2022 Our Year Seven students spent last week looking at how Servite College is a community that seeks to be agents of justice through providing service to those whose rights are being denied or needs unfulfilled. Through games, scripture, videos, discussions and activities, they explored Christian values and the needs of Australians who are experiencing hardship. From there they learnt about Vinnies Australia, and the wonderful work that they do. They are now ready to lead their Homeroom in constructing the annual Vinnies Christmas Hamper.

22.01.2022 Our school was invaded by Romans when our Year 7s, dressed to impress, spent the day learning about the Roman way of life. Through immersive activities, they gathered insights into the experiences of soldiers and citizens, clothing, and forms of entertainment that the Romans enjoyed.

22.01.2022 RoboCup 2019 WA season concludes today, with the finals at Curtin Stadium, hosted by Scitech. Servite has two teams competing, with Year 11 student Marcus Cozza in the Secondary Rescue and Nikki Le (Year 9) and Sophie Tse (Year 11) in the Maze competition. First round is underway and competition is tough. Best of luck, Servites!



22.01.2022 Our Year 9 Music classes enjoyed a visit to Sumo Sound Sessions to record the original songs they have been creating this Term. The opportunity to record in a professional environment and put into practice the theory they have learnt this year was very rewarding.

21.01.2022 We warmly welcome everyone to attend our Servite Community Festival, 5.30pm-8.30pm Friday 6 March. Join us and enjoy the campus at twilight with delicious food and heaps of free entertainment including rides, virtual gaming, silent disco, digital art plus barista coffee, bubble tea, local wines and craft beers on tap.

21.01.2022 Our Visual Arts team has created a Virtual Art Showcase to share diverse artworks from students in Years 7-12. 21.01.2022 For all of October our Volleyballers have a Local Matters jar in Grilld Leederville. Local Matters will help provide support to send our Girls team to the Gold Coast to compete in the Volleyball Schools Cup. Please support the girls by spreading the word and eating there with you family/friends and placing the tokens in our jar!

20.01.2022 Year 11 student Michael Caccamo competed against Australias top young apprentices and trainees in the Wall and Floor Tiling Category during the World Skills Regional Competition at PCEC today. Go Michael!



19.01.2022 At Servite, students are encouraged to be involved in sport at all levels. Our Head of Sport, Dave Maxwell, joined Sport Staff One this week to look back at WA school sport during 2020.

17.01.2022 On Tuesday this week, our Junior Acting Club performed extracts from Australian play Lockie Leonard. The students, from Year 7-9, have worked on their scenes over the last two terms after school. Well done, Servites, on delivering your Community performances with Zest and Joy!

17.01.2022 We were delighted to have our 2021 Year 7 cohort spend the day at Servite. Students explored the campus and participated in Science and Dance lessons. We can’t wait to see you start at Servite next year!

16.01.2022 Year 9 student Jordana Ienco (SE5) recently represented WA at the 16 and Under Mixed National Indoor Netball Championships held in Toowoomba, Queensland. Based on her performances at the tournament, Jordana has been selected as part of the 17 and Under Mixed Australian Team that will represent Australia at the upcoming Indoor Netball Tri-Series in 2020 held in New Zealand. We congratulate Jordana on her outstanding achievements and wish her all the best for her future netball endeavours.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to the Saints Stirling Junior Football Club on their Year 7/8 Girls premiership win over the weekend. 13 Servite students were involved in the team this year, developing plenty of resilience, perseverance, teamwork and leadership skills. Well done, girls!

15.01.2022 Our Year 9 Outdoor education students have returned from their excursion to Rottnest where they snorkelled and biked around the island. The trip enabled students to appreciate the unique environment and utilise the skills learnt throughout the course. It was a wonderful way to round out the year.

15.01.2022 Our Year 7 Maths students are rolling out a virtual peer teaching program building key skills with Year 6 students who attend our partner primary schools. We look forward to seeing this initiative develop further next year.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to all Servite Sisters on the 50th Jubilee celebration of the Order in Australia. Sisters gathered to honour their past, reflect on their present and share their dreams for the future, joined by Archbishop Timothy Costelloe, Emeritus Archbishop Barry Hickey and Bishop Gerard Holohan and members of the extended Servite community.

11.01.2022 Our Year 10 Outdoor Education students enjoyed a three-day adventure at Nanga Bush Camp in Dwellingup. Whilst there, they completed activities such as Orienteering, Mountain Biking and High Roping. The camp enabled students to venture outside of their comfort zones, overcome fears, develop their leadership skills, and connect with peers.

09.01.2022 We were delighted to welcome our 2020 Year 7 cohort for Orientation Day. Students toured the campus and participated in mini-lessons and activities from Dance class and Science experiments to building in Minecraft. Were missing you already!

09.01.2022 Our Year 9 students recently enjoyed the annual, two-day retreat, which enables ours students to mindfully pause, reflect and pray. Year 9 at Servite explores the concept, 'I Become'. 08.01.2022 Year 12 student entrepreneurs accepted the challenge of creating a simulated business and presenting this at a recent Business Expo at Fremantle Education Centre. Students collaborated on their chosen projects, creating an impressive party bus and DJ hire business and a perfume company.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to Anika Desai and Jonathan Marchesi, our Head Girl and Head Boy for 2021. Anika and Jonathan are excited to be able to represent the Graduating Class of 2021 next year and to encourage their lasting contribution to our Servite story.

08.01.2022 Should Science replace English as a compulsory subject in secondary school? The Servite Big Debate explored this topic, with students from both teams offering strong cases, bold views and interesting facts. Bring on the 2020 Debate season!

08.01.2022 This week our 2021 Year 12 leaders embarked on their leadership camp for three days of brainstorming and teamwork. Activities such as sandcastle competitions, rock climbing and a talent show encouraged our leaders to support and communicate with one another. The group ultimately decided upon 'The Power of Growth' as the theme that will guide their decisions next year. We look forward to seeing how our new leaders continue to develop the Servite story.

07.01.2022 Last week the College farewelled our Class of 2019. Celebrations began with a farewell whole school assembly and were followed by Graduation Breakfast and Ceremony. We wish our Class of 2019 all the best in their exams and future endeavours.

07.01.2022 Our College Leaders joined students from neighbouring schools for a Zoom meeting with Premier Mark McGowan today. The Premier answered some great questions about leadership and shared his thoughts on how young people can make a positive difference in shaping our world. Thank you to the Member for Balcatta, David Michael for this opportunity and well done to our Head Boy Marco Acciari and Head Girl Demi Mammoliti for representing the College with pride.

07.01.2022 30 talented Year 9 Art students have created a mural inspired by a famous artwork ‘The Great Wave’ by Japanese artist Hokusai a perfect art installation to enhance our College pool facilities. Check out the painting process below.

07.01.2022 As part of Languages week at the College, our Year 9 Italian classes attended a pasta making excursion at the Little Italian School in Osborne Park. The class enjoyed immersing themselves in Italian food culture as well as improving their cooking skills.

07.01.2022 Our Year 10 Food Technologies students hosted a pop up restaurant as part of their final assessment. Sharing great Servite hospitality with their guests, students designed creative menus and prepared and served delicious meals.

05.01.2022 Servite joined the WA Schools Think Tank Challenge today, hosted by Water Corporation and the Innovation Institute. Teams investigated water management in Western Australia, before researching and developing innovative solutions in response to the question - How can Perth become a leading Waterwise city in 2030?

02.01.2022 Our Year 10 Outdoor Education Camp included three days at the beautiful Lane Poole Reserve, Dwellingup, where campers developed their resilience and problem solving skills while cycling, building rafts and braving the outdoors. Glad to have you back on campus!

01.01.2022 Three Servite teams competed in the Australian HPV Super Series Busselton 6 Hour Pedal Prix 2019, racing human powered vehicles around a challenging 850m circuit on the Busselton foreshore. The HPV Super Series supports the development of sustainable communities, healthy lifestyles, communication and teamwork, and research and innovation. Well done, teams!
