20.01.2022 We'll still be responding to your emergencies through this lockdown. Stay safe everyone!

20.01.2022 Whilst we receive some state government support, VICSES Essendon relies on donations to cover many of our running costs. 2020 has been tough for everyone, and COVID-restrictions have naturally stopped all of our necessary face-to-face fundraising. If you can help us out, please contribute on our GiveNow page, and share on your socials.... Your support is appreciated! https://www.givenow.com.au/vicses-essendon

19.01.2022 During hot days, the temperature inside a car can double within minutes. Never leave kids, adults or pets in hot cars. Find out more tips to #survivetheheat this summer via the Better Health Channel: http://bit.ly/2EBF3s0

18.01.2022 Whilst we aren't in the same league as say the Lilydale State Emergency Service or SES Upper Yarra Unit's when it comes to trees, we do occasionally get some big ones...! This one kept one of our crews busy until very late last night.... (The last shot is from one of our more normal-sized jobs today) :P

18.01.2022 Wondering what we were doing over the last few nights around Steele Creek in Niddrie? Our teams successfully located and extracted a couple of (surprisingly heavy!) unconscious and injured dummies in the scrub, including providing CPR to both for extended periods. Thanks for your patience and understanding along the shared path.

17.01.2022 The Essendon SES currently has three teams out on the road responding to a high volume of calls. so please be patient and drive to the conditions. For life-threatening emergencies, call 000 For storm-related emergencies, call 132 500

14.01.2022 Heavy rains forecast this afternoon. Stay safe on the roads.

14.01.2022 Don't be "that person" who needs rescuing from flood waters. Last Friday, SES volunteers helped three people all trapped in vehicles after trying to drive throu...gh water. Heavy rainfall is predicted for large areas of the state on Friday, with possible flash flooding on roads. It can take only 15cm of water to float a small car, so don't take the risk. 12.01.2022 Rain, wind or heat, those trees keep on dropping on roads, houses and fences! We've had a few big jobs today..

11.01.2022 Thank you to all the families and friends who support our volunteers to help the community. Our volunteers responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.#vicsesfamily

10.01.2022 A busy one overnight, with 620 calls for help to VICSES following extremely windy conditions on Sunday. Volunteers saw 456 trees down and 114 counts of buildin...g damage, with only 20 jobs still active this morning. A huge effort to all involved! If you still need our assistance, call 132 500

08.01.2022 Happy holidays from all of us at VICSES. Enjoy the festive season and stay safe out there!

08.01.2022 Please help share this important community message. If you suffer from asthma or hay fever, please make sure you're prepared for the predicted storms this week. Have your medication handy and stay indoors.

08.01.2022 Be careful on the road today. Strong winds bring down trees. Watch out for any loose objects.

07.01.2022 To wrap up our holiday emergency kit campaign, we hope everyone includes a little kindness on the back of what has been a challenging year for all Victorians. A little kindness goes a long way.

03.01.2022 Whilst we had a busy weekend due to that storm, we were pleased to also be able to assist our neighbouring SES Broadmeadows Unit with some of their tasks.
