23.01.2022 HAVE YOU SEEN WHATS FLAPPED INTO SESAME KIDS THIS WEEK? Take a chance to have a look at our new, adopted friends who will be living in the foyer until they are big enough to go home! Our children have been learning all about how to care for the chickens - feeding them and helping with their bedding. Were also learning all about chicken life cycles, how big they will grow and where eggs come from. Photos to be posted soon!

23.01.2022 The Kinder children in Dingos have been exploring their colours with these wonderful group hand paintings! Children took turns picking out a colour, stamping their hands and using their fingers to make these creative masterpieces

23.01.2022 Our Possums LOVE bubble time and this week is no exception. The children loved watching them float about and reaching out to pop them was the best!



23.01.2022 Our Wombats are getting ready for World Space Week by building their very own spaceship. Using recycled materials and foil, the children will be blasting off to space in no time!

22.01.2022 This week our new bikes for our Kangaroos and Dingos arrived! We are all so excited to use them and we took every opportunity we could to get outside. They have been such a hit with the children who have been madly pedalling them around the yard!

22.01.2022 Check out the Koala children’s activities for NAIDOC week last week with room leader Glenda! They explored some Aboriginal artwork puzzles before they tried to make their own inspired artwork using cotton tips and paint

21.01.2022 The children enjoyed getting the chickens outside in the sunshine today while they get their cage cleaned. Teaching children independence and responsibility is so much fun at Sesame Kids.. great Job Maddie !

21.01.2022 The kindergarten children have settled into 3rd term nicely, busily engaging with their friends.



21.01.2022 Our Kinders in Dingos enjoyed a game of snakes and ladders with some help from their teacher, Mengyan. The children took turns rolling the dice, counting the numbers and moving their pieces on the board. They had so much fun playing and helping each decide if they were going up a ladder or down the snake!

16.01.2022 Our little chicken friends have been causing quite the stir since their arrival last week! The children are all very excited to learn about them and are loving their visits throughout the day. Our younger children are enthusiastic to come have a look, while there is no lack of volunteers to care for them with our older children!

16.01.2022 Some of our children from our older rooms came together to share the experience of an erupting volcano! There were so many excited claps and squeals as the volcano bubbled over that we just HAD to do it again

13.01.2022 The Wombats went on their very own Bear Hunt today! After reading the story together, they all took turns walking though the sensory tubs and experiencing the elements for themselves. The children kept lining up for more turns and the water was by far the favourite

12.01.2022 Group time in the Platypus room this week involved story time with Casey, followed by a discussion about room safety and rules. The children took turns talking about health and safety such as why certain rules are in place, what happens if we’re not safe and what to do when we need help.

12.01.2022 Our Dingos in Kinder have made themselves some very sticky play dough! They learned all about the ingredients, mixing and kneading to create the play dough. The colour of the dough also sparked good discussions between the children about other things that are green!

07.01.2022 Our under 3 children are loving riding these new bikes in the beautiful weather we’ve been having! Soaking in the sunshine, the children are working on their gross motor skills as they navigate the bikes along the paths

07.01.2022 Our Dingos are learning all about our bodies as they research whats inside them, whats outside them, whats private and whats not! As you can see, all the children were very engaged in the short video at circle time and afterwards they all talked about what they had seen and learnt.

06.01.2022 In honour of Remembrance Day, our children worked on some special projects like the Poppy biscuits in the Wombats/Koala rooms and painting patty-pans into Poppies in the Kangaroo, Wombat and Koala rooms. Great job everyone and Lest We Forget!
