25.01.2022 Fraser was so excited to show off his DIY Optimus Prime costume to his friends here at Clontarf! So creative and cleaver, well done!
23.01.2022 How wonderful is it to know that our next generation will be there to step in when required.
22.01.2022 It’s been a very resourceful and creative day with the Senior Kindy and Kindergarten children getting together to measure their height and create real life size drawings of themselves. The children also created special drawings and collages to display in the room.
20.01.2022 Dear Families, IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Many of you will have heard the government announcement about a temporary Early Childhood and Care Package to support fee relief for families who need to access care for their children, as well as ensuring the ongoing viability of Early Childhood and School-Age care centres.... WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU is . . . . Families will pay NO fees from 6 April 2020, for up to 6 months (with a one month, and three month review process by the Government). Individuals who are still working are determined to be ‘essential workers’ and are eligible to attend the centre. There will be no income test or activity test for families during this period of time. Families will still receive a statement showing the sessions of care that their child has attended. Families will still be required to sign children in and out as per the normal requirements. This funding replaces the existing Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS). CCS will cease at 11:59pm Sunday 5th April 2020. To clarify, child care centres are required to: Stay open, unless closed on public health advice or for other health and safety reasons. Ensure families are not charged a fee, including any out of pocket or gap fee. Prioritise care to essential workers, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and previously enrolled children, in instances where we may have a staffing shortage. Continue to record the attendance of children. Comply with all other provider obligations including National Quality Framework and other relevant conditions of approval under Family Assistance Law To assist us to finalise all bookings and payments we will: Process all payments, where there is an amount outstanding. Ask that you stop any recurring deposits that you have set up for the payment of fees due after 3 April 2020. We will stop any payments coming out via Ezidebit or Debit Success. No refunds will be processed and all monies paid in advance will be held until the free payments have ceased. ENROLMENTS: All children who have a current booking will continue to be enrolled to attend the Service. If you choose to re-enrol and/or reactivate your bookings, but choose to keep your child at home, it will just be recorded as an absence. Our understanding is that these will not count against the allowable absences within a year as CCS ceases from next week. Children who have currently withdrawn from the Service will remain withdrawn until parents notify the Centre of a re-commencement date. Parents who wish to change their child’s booking (add/delete days) are asked to email as soon as possible, so your child’s booking can be amended. Parents who wish to re-commence their child’s booking are asked to email the Service Manager as soon as possible, so your child’s booking can be added to the rolls If you have any queries, please email or message us as soon as possible.

17.01.2022 Good afternoon families, It's Miss Mardi here (yes, the boss asked me to post my picture!). I'm so sad that we've had to close our beautiful Rothwell centre, this was a really hard decision for us to make but with the uncertainty of the country it's the only one we could make. I have so many happy memories of the relationships built with our families and children. I'm still with Sesame Lane at our North Lakes Joyner Circuit centre. If you need anything at all, or you would l...ike to come in for a chat please give me a call on 3491 7013. My door is open for all of you. Stay positive and safe x
13.01.2022 When you’re young and learning all about real life scenarios, you need a dolly, pillow and a lot of smiles, while re-enacting our everyday sleep time routine in Toddlers.
10.01.2022 Sesame Lane remains open during stage 2 shutdowns announced 24th March. As the Prime Minister has mentioned, continuing essential services such as early childho...od education and care (while it is safe to do so) is crucial to continuing the education of our children, and to enabling parents, including health care professionals, to continue to work and support the broader community. It also reduces the reliance on alternative care arrangements such as grandparents or elderly relatives who are typically at higher risk of COVID-19. We will continue to update our families and caregivers as information comes to hand.

05.01.2022 When you trick and surprise other educators
03.01.2022 Valued families, Educators and friends, we need your support. Please each and every one of you share this for us tonight! We’re STILL OPEN and we’re looking ...forward to seeing our Happy Healthy Learners tomorrow, but Queensland early learning centres are on the brink of collapse The Government have been called on to provide an urgent lifeline to children, parents and educators so we can offer all families gap free fees during the COVID-19 health and economic crisis As Prime Minister Scott Morrison has stated many times, 30% of Queensland parents who rely on our sector, work in healthcare and emergency services Gap free fees mean that you can ensure your place with us when this is over, even if you choose or need to stay home through this. It will also allow us to stay open for our front-line workers. It alleviates the financial burden for families and will help keep childcare centres afloat by continuing to claim Child Care Subsidy Early learning services are deemed safe places (by the Chief Medical Officer) for young children and educators, with exceptionally high levels of personal hygiene practices, that were in place already. Please help us by signing the petition #stayenrolled #waivethegapfee
