11.01.2022 I've been working on this daisy #flowerpainting for just over a week. I started a short course with Art2Life. Which was called a 'breadcrumbs challenge'. Unfortunately I could only join in for a few of the days due to other commitments. One of the first questions we were asked is ' how do we want out art to 'feel'? I was reminded of a remark made by a customer that purchased a piece of my art a little while back. She picked it up and said. 'This painting is fun. it makes m...e feel happy!' I thought about this for a while and realised that recently I had got caught up in being 'serious.' I wanted to have fun creating art. I wanted the viewer to see that art can be fun. I want it to make me smile when I look at it. So first I picked flowers (cause I love flowers) that make new happy, and you can't go past daisies for that! Then it was colours. I think I've finished this painting. I'll know when I set it aside for a few days. (Maybe a little more work on the vase, but I don't want to over work it, so we'll see) But I do know that as I look at it, it is making me smile. See more
