15.01.2022 On Saturday we were out at a new business in Dalkeith setting up their small office network. We installed a 6RU cabinet, with cooling fan and rack mounted power board. Being a small independent office, we chose a TP-Link Pro Unmanaged 16 port switch to save the owners some money - a balance between business quality and budget. ... Unfortunately on arrival to site the exisiting cabling was not terminated with RJ45 plugs. Whilst on site we have re terminated a number cables to allow use of the NBN and Wifi Router, and printer. The Brother printer that our customer purchased themselves was also set up on the WiFi network to allow direct printing from mobile devices. Once the business has their furniture and computers delivered, we will return to finish tidying up the remainder of the existing cables and ensure the network and all devices are fully operational. 14.01.2022 Our clients in Cottesloe had an old Sony TV that was not working, so we dropped by their apartment last night and removed it from the existing wall bracket and installed their new 43 LG TV on the same bracket and fed the power cables through the wall cavity to the power points below. On arrival they also had a LG sound bar that needed wall mounting and cabling to the new TV - No problems for us to complete. Once mounted we hooked up the existing Foxtel box via HDMI, connecte...d the TV to the WIFI network, the sounds bar via HDMI ARC so it operated via the TV and set up their universal smart remote that came with the TV. Most importantly we ran through the operation of the TV and ensure they knew how to use it before leaving.
