22.01.2022 | Dress Up Day| Just a reminder that tomorrow here at Settlement Road we have a Dress Up Day. Children can come dressed up as anything they choose. We look forward to seeing all the different costumes and characters.

22.01.2022 Dear Families and Educators, On the 11th of January 2020 we are hosting an event with Friend In Me (https://friendinme.org.au), a charity that ensures no child is left behind which is a message thats incredibly important to our service. We are reaching out in relation to people from our local community who may be able to help us with entertainment for the day, food or coffee trucks and different experiences. ... Some examples are as follows: - A band or music group to perform. - Food Trucks/Catering to set up in the Car Park of the service. - Facepainters - Childrens entertainers - Jumping Castles - Photo Booths - Petting Zoos ect. If you believe you would be able to help with this event or know someone who may please speak to Jordyn or Maya at reception or email [email protected]. 22.01.2022 Settlement Road has been thriving with ideas and experiences the children have been participating in. The Nursery and younger children have been engaging with aspects of our Natural Environment in the indoor sand pit, exploring different textures with their fingers and challenging their thinking with some cause and effect toys. Easter activities have been popular with the older children at the moment. One of the school children drew a wonderful Easter picture that she shared with the kinder children after making some photo copies for them to colour. This then created some discussion about Easter and the Easter bunny. If you think that this may be something your child would enjoy, you can contact our office to discuss your options.

21.01.2022 There have been some wonderful exciting things happening here at Settlement Road. The children from Kinder 2 found a new friend out in our courtyard a frog and thought it would be a great idea to create a home for him in our empty fish tank so he could stay with us for a little while. This lead to some great discussions about what frogs eat. Someone said caterpillars which then encouraged the idea to make our own grassy caterpillars. One of the children then expressed their creativity and drew all the creatures he though a frog would eat.

20.01.2022 What a wonderful evening we had for our Christmas Party at McGregor Park. Thank you to all our lovely staff for being there to celebrate the festive season and to all our beautiful families for coming to celebrate with us. Everyone had a wonderful evening. 19.01.2022 So much fun being had here at Settlement Road. Kinder 2 are busy looking after their catterpillars helping them to grow nice and fury with grass, creating a sense of belonging and self identity with self portraits and enjoying various different experiences. Vacation care children have explored science by creating a volcano and writing their own thoughts about it. Whilst some of our toddlers have been so busy it was time to rest and recuperate ready for an afternoon of fun, learning and exploration.

Vacation care will be open to primary school aged siblings under 13, as a small way to help our educators and our families, allowing you to work, look for work and manage your lives. Fees will be set at only $80 for a 10-hour session, with no late fees if 30 minutes early or late on drop off or pickup.... Limited places available, to register please contact your Service Manager.
