22.01.2022 On 5th August 1991 I opened my first office, Alan Jacobs Personnel Services, in Swanston Street, Melbourne, to offer recruitment, training, resume writing, career counselling and outplacement service to businesses and individuals. 25 years later, as a professional Celebrant under the name of Seven Blessings, I am still working with people and their families at significant points of their lives. Last week a funeral for a lovely elderly lady, today the wedding of a charming young couple, tomorrow the baby blessing and welcome of a one-year old, next week the memorial and celebration of life of a very special 'golden girl' who passed away at the age of 98 a few weeks ago. Supporting people is a great vocation. Another 25 years doubtful, but it's been great so far.

Alan couldn't wait to jump straight into his marriage.

13.01.2022 On Australia Day, a wedding at Greenfields at Albert Park with 200 guests, and later a more intimate home wedding with just a few family members and friends. It was my pleasure to have contributed to the all round happiness enjoyed by both brides and grooms and their families.

Last Friday, a tranquil funeral ceremony for an elegant gentleman who'd reached 90 years; on Sunday a sacred and blessed wedding in Sydney for two faithful and devoted people; yesterday a fun-filled occasion for extrovert groom Mchael and his gorgeous bride Anita at Overnewton. Variety is the spice of life!
