24.01.2022 Anyone have their own off-grid tiny good to go, are looking for a place to put it, and are happy to trade skills or a bit of work for rent? Do you have land c...are skills or permaculture knowledge you share, and are happy to chip in when needed? Can you exist in an environment and add value to the space, without doing it damage? I recieved this message from my mate Taylan Atar today. An amazing opportunity for the right person or couple. "Looking for a responsible person, or couple, to be care takers of our beautiful 6000 acre cattle ranch in the heart of Tallarook. One hour from Melbourne. 8 min drive from seymour and broadford. 5 kms to Tallarook. Must be able to reside on site, preferable to have a stand alone tiny house. Water and power can be provided at a future time Would ideally love some one that could grow some vegetables to make the place more homely. Elderly owners wanting to make sure the place is secure and just wanting good folks with eyes and ears to keep an eye out. No costs in any way to the successful tiny home owner/applicant but would be good if we could count on them from time to time for a few hours a week for bits and pieces. Abundance of wild life and water ways. Backs on to the Tallarook state forest. Would be responsible directly to me." There is an application process, and you'll need to talk directly to Taylan for the details, but, wow, what a sweet deal! PLEASE ONLY ENQUIRE IF YOU FIT THE CRITERIA, ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED AND HAVE AN OFF-GRID TINY ALREADY BUILT. And please don't waste Taylan's time. He's a very busy man. He's been kind enough to share the offer. Let's be respectful of his time.

23.01.2022 Hello all, I am heading to Bairnsdale area tomorrow or Saturday ( along with many other days / weeks ) to transport hay for many organisations. I am donating m...y equipment / fuel to help out. I am looking for anyone that has or may know someone that can donate some hay bales to take down with me to the bush fire effected areas. I help Need For Feed , Warriors 4 wildlife and many others to transport for them. If you could help fill my truck and trailer with hay I would be very grateful. ( I am happy to pickup any donated hay ). Please message me or contact me on 0428 770 002. Thank you in advance

19.01.2022 Not a bad life for a goat... Happy Sunday!

18.01.2022 Well, what a year it has been... We have been busy fencing kms and kms, with koalas on the street, loads of guest, some International friends that have helped us along the way, some nasty fires and incidents on the Hume Freeway. I’ve been bogged more times than my age. We have broken cars and tractors, but that’s all part of living on a farm I guess. We lost our famous mascot Bull, but gained another baby goat, huge burn offs to reduce fuel burdens, we have cleared tracks a...nd made roads cut fire wood and then some more. The boys have grown into men... cars and bikes all over the place and they have worked hard for the privilege. While we come home tired and sore every night, we sleep well knowing we have done the best we can for the day. Nothing rings truer than seeing young people inspired and nothing says more than A farmer has to be an optimist or he wouldn’t still be a farmer Some random phots from the year. Tin rattling with the CFA 12 noon BBQ every day on the mountain. Every tree that fell found a fence

11.01.2022 He may look big, but he’s still our ‘baby’ goat - literally, that’s actually his name and what he answers to when we call for him! #thegoatwalk #greencarpet

11.01.2022 Have a pet goat they said, they’ll be cute they said...

08.01.2022 And round 2 begins... Help us decide a name...we’re thinking either Milo or Tim Tam? #babygoat
