19.01.2022 Many reasons to grow your own & to choose the kind of food we source & offer. #biodiversity #growersgrowingbetter #savethebees #Repost @slowfood_international H...ow many of these do you eat regularly? How often do you choose non-organic produce based on cost, selection, or even simply aesthetics? The 2019 Pesticide Action Week ends today, but the fight to keep our food (and soil, and waterways, and flora, and...) #pesticidefree still rages on. - - This drawing by the brilliant @brenna_quinlan lists the 12 products most likely to carry pesticide residue when not organic, according to research done by the @environmentalworkinggroup - - #slowfood #slow #food #foodforchange #local #sustainability #environment #biodiversity #climatechange #terramadre #savethebees #organic #presidium #artisan #traditional #delicious #tasty #future #ewg #pesticides #pesticideactionweek2019 #paw See more

17.01.2022 Great to look back at some ABC media attention from last year
17.01.2022 Snow Peas are now available to our beautiful customers! And why not add them to your meal plan or weekly groceries for their excellent source of vitamin c and great source of iron and fiber! It is believed that the name ‘Snow Pea’ was given due to the whitish tint on the pea pod that gives an imaginary snowy effect. They are not only known as Snow Peas but also as ‘Chinese pea pod’. These pea pods taste a little milder and sweeter when compared to normal garden peas. Snow Pea...s are extremely healthy to munch on due to their impressive healthy nutrients! They contain fiber, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins A and C, healthy fats, iron, potassium, magnesium, folic acid and antioxidants. These nutrients have the ability to relieve and prevent inflammation, cancers, eye diseases and digestive issues naturally. Snow peas can be boiled, steamed or even sautéed in olive oil. They give a nice crunchy texture to dishes prepared. They go well with Shiitake mushrooms and in risotto. Delicious served as a salad or why not try them in a vegetable quiche. In the end, theres always the classic stir fry recipe to add them to. As usual, on Saturday we will be at Harvest Launceston with plenty of snow peas and many other goodies to add to your shopping list. We would like to wish everyone a Safe, Healthy and Happy 2019 to everyone. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our CSA members for your support throughout the year. See you all very soon with many new tasty vegetables becoming available soon!

10.01.2022 Strawberries, Snow peas, Beetroots, Salad Mix and much more tomorrow at Harvest Launceston! This time you will find us right next to Three Peaks Organics. Today we harvested super sweet strawberries, some of them sweet like candy, the heat and sun are making the strawberries super sweet but unfortunately the number of strawberries is slowly reducing so come and get some before they disappear! In our Salad mix this week you will find some baby Mizuna, giving the mix an extra ...zing and the lettuce a nice crunch! Let us know what you think of it! Any feedback or comments will be much appreciated. As usual our salad mix, and all of our veggies, were only harvested a few hours ago so our customers can enjoy extremely fresh organic produce and receive the highest amounts of nutritional value. 09.01.2022 Organic going down the drain with hydroponic allowed in the states. A good reminder to ask the questions to those who grow your food, no matter what certification they have: How do you grow this stuff and what do you and don't you use? Always better safe than sorry.... https://mailchi.mp/realo/usda-organic-now-allows-herbicides
