15.01.2022 So today I was just getting ready for bed and saw some lightning in the distance. I wasn't overly tired so I thought I'd take the camera out to shoot! its been... ages since I've managed to get out for a storm when its actually dark. As I hit the shutter button, this huge bolt happened. it was so perfect but I had to wait another 29 seconds for the shot to finish. To see if I got lucky! Thank God I did! 11.01.2022 SEVERE WEATHER AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCEMENT 12 September, 2020 In January this year Severe Weather Australia was contacted regarding licensing weather content for an upcoming three part documentary series about major weather events across Australia. Over the past nine months we have worked to support contributors across our country and have signed a major license agreement to supply some forty-one separate videos ranging from lightning, flooding, bush fires, storm structure, storm ...time-lapes and other weather phenomena. Some twenty nine separate contributors including public and professionals have had their work formally licensed (paid for). These contributors were supported by our national management team, members and partners across five states and territories. The documentary is expected to be broadcast in Australia in October. Details shall be released when an air-date is known. We wish to congratulate everyone involved in this process and thank all our members, partner pages and partner groups for protecting the often rare, valuable and incredible content that many of you capture. We look forward to notifying the twenty nine contributors (members and public) to request an invoice and have them paid for their outstanding work.
