25.01.2022 AGM ADJOURNED SUPPORT NEEDED Due to the non-fulfilment of executive postions the SJFC has adjourned its AGM for 2 weeks and will resume on the 14/12/2020 at the Clubrooms.... Due to the age of their kids and work commitments, a few parents are moving on and leaving holes to be filled on our junior committee. There’s plenty of general committee support but the club needs to fill the executive roles so the club can continue to run next season. Former president/s secretary/s & treasurer/s will still be around next season to help those who step up with the transition so it’s the perfect time to get involved as they won’t be there the following year. Come along and get involved, it’s not nearly as bad as you’re probably thinking and it’s a great way to be proactive in the community.

14.01.2022 Hi Sporting Clubs, The COVID-19 pandemic is causing unprecedented challenges for everyone. Many individuals, families and communities find themselves needing support and it can be daunting to ask for help, and to know where to start.... In partnership with the Yarra Ranges Emergency Relief Network Committee, Yarra Ranges Council has produced a short video promoting the Network’s agencies and the significant support they provide to the community. Please know that there are many organisations located in the Yarra Ranges that are dedicated to providing support to people when they need it. Many of their usual services have been adapted to suit COVID-19 restrictions. COVID-19 has caused hardship for many people. It is ok to ask for help. 04.01.2022 READ| 2020 Season Update: With yesterday’s announcement of a return to Level 3 restrictions and lockdown, the AFL Outer East commission has made the immensely d...ifficult decision to cancel all football and netball competitions for the season 2020. AFL Outer East would like to thank all our, clubs, volunteers, officials, umpires, players, sponsors, commercial partners and the broader AFL Outer East community for their support and co-operation during these challenging and unprecedented times. We are immensely proud of the way our clubs, community and staff have met this challenge head on. Though disappointed there will be no football or netball in 2020, we shift our focus to returning bigger and better in season 2021. 04.01.2022 From the SJFC President. Due to the reimplementation of stage three restrictions in the Melbourne Metro Area, the league has sadly had to cancel the 2020 season after exhausting all options. On behalf of the SJFC, we the Committee thank the AFL Outer East for their relentless efforts in trying to make it possible for the kids to play football again this year, against all odds and totally understand and respect the decision they have made in these unprecedented times.... In regards to those who have already paid the club registration or ordered apparel, you can contact the club to discuss carrying it over to next season, getting a refund or to make other arrangements. We the committee would like to also take this opportunity to thank our wonderful volunteers, coaches, players, families and sponsors for their continued patience and support and look forward to seeing you all back on deck next season. As President, I would like to personally thank the efforts of the committee especially the executive committee for their contribution behind the scenes with return to training & playing meetings, though we didn’t get a season up we did all we could to ensure we were ready if it happened, thank you. To those families who won’t be back with our junior club next season, I wish you all the best and thank you for your support and contribution during your time involved, SJFC is a great family club and only survives thanks to these families and their commitment. Finally, I hope you all stay fit and healthy and look forward to seeing you all for the 2021 season and seeing the kids back doing what they enjoy most. President SJFC Ron Morison
