25.01.2022 We are into our 10th week. Getting quite busy. It would appear that we have become curtain hemming and repair specialists. Darning is also back on the agenda along with general repairs/alterations. The shop is normally open each Saturday from 9am until 12 noon but this Saturday 12th December, 2020 we will be closed. Don't forget to come for a visit (preferably with your repairs)

23.01.2022 This is a bit out there, but does anyone know of someone who would like to display their signwriting/graffiti/painting techniques on a large sign that we have along side of our shop. The paint would be supplied and credit given. Or does anyone have any other idea for a cost effective way of making a sign?

16.01.2022 9 weeks and still operating. Getting quite busy. Quite a few graduation dress alterations. More curtains and our bread and butter - hems. We thank you for all your support and encouragement. Some photos of our Christmas window (not quite as spectacular as Myer!!). Not a really good photo of the window - why don't you come and have a look in person.

09.01.2022 Week 6 and we are still operating!! Still a bit slow but getting some very interesting work in. No photos this week but a hint to everyone - "it is not desirable to mark where you would like your trousers to be hemmed to ..................... in permanent marker (especially if they are light coloured)" Working on our Christmas display so stay tuned. Special Note: we are open to all scenarios of mending/making/repairing and are more than happy to look into anything - will... not promise what we cannot deliver. Enjoy your week.

07.01.2022 Sew (so) we have have been up and running for 8 weeks. We have had our share of "unusual" requests. We have hemmed, patched, repaired, restored and created including curtains, teddy bears, dolls, pants, cushions, graduation dresses, shower curtains, jumpers, masks, jackets, pin cushions among the many items that we have worked on. Currently drafting our own pattern for a dress and cushions - will let you know how that goes. Come for a visit anytime and remember we will have a look at repairing/restoring anything and will let you know if it is beyond our capabilities. Still enjoying our venture and love the challenge.
