24.01.2022 Right ... all refreshed after a swim and now ready to add some colour to these TeaTowels. Due to the steps and time involved in dyeing I need to be a fair few days ahead to have everything ready for you on their designated days. It’s T shirts tonight ... It’s crazy time here at Sewcial Dyes, so I’m going to grab another coffee, sort the kids and gently kiss their teenage smiling faces as I wave them off onto the school bus. Then it’ll be all systems go for Day 2 of my 12 Days of Christmas ... It’s all about T shirts tonight, and I have a HUGE variety to share with you at 8 pm. 03.01.2022 It’s school holidays here in NSW, and I love not having a routine in the mornings! But ... I struggle not having quiet around me. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids too bits, but the constant sounds, movement, neediness, and general sibling love makes me feel suffocated. ... Today, has been a good day. A bit of work this morning, then a few hours at the beach with swimming, walking, coffee and hot chips and bridge jumping. It’ll be home time soon and I’ll be back into it with my mind and body a bit more at peace. I need to remember that kids need time to be kids before they can settle enough for me to put my work hat on. Work/Life/Family Balance ... it’s constantly shifting and changing, and I need to find my way to be ok with that.
