22.01.2022 The best part about wedding planning is finding and/or making all the cool accessories. I had a wonderful day with my mum on Thursday making this beautiful pressed flower photo guest book for my wedding next April. The pages were sourced from a lady in Thailand who makes this stunning paper. And the front and back pages were made by myself and my mum out of pressed flowers from the SewCo.Perth studio. 20.01.2022 Today i met a lovely lady who sadly, had recently lost her husband very suddenly. She had come to me with flowers from her husband's farewell and although contrary to our usual bridal pieces we have decided to take on this flower preservation. After the bouquet has been photographed, separated, labeled and hung, the flowers will be kept in a light restricted room to air dry for 2 months. The bouquet will then be put back together using the original photos as reference and returned to our client for framing.

13.01.2022 A month ago I received a call from a lovely lady who had sadly lost her daughter too young. She had dried the flowers that had lay on her casket and kept them in a plastic box on display for safe keeping. By all accounts she had preserved her flowers well and had stored them safely so they wouldn't deteriorate, however when cleaning around her display she noticed some sediment in the bottom of the box, then she noticed the bugs. Tiny little beetle looking things no bigger th...an 2mm living in her flowers slowly chomping away the petals from the inside out. After contacting @midlandfloristbythegate she was referd to me. The flowers didnt look too bad at first (photo 2) however On closer inspection of her flowers there was far more deterioration than initially expected ( photos 3-8). There were no promises but I said I would save what I could and be in contact. 10 hours of bug hunting and killing, pulling apart each flower and restoration including remaking the center of 3 flowers, the bouquet had been saved. We then decided to display her flowers with a custom dyed silk purple ribbon ( her daughter's favourite colour) and lay them in a large glass and gold display case. (Photo1) I could not be more happy with the outcome and I am so honoured to have been asked to restore such a special bouquet of flowers. @ SewCo. Bridal

11.01.2022 Sneak peek of my toughest custom job yet, free quilting and beaded embroidery, size alterations, zip replacement, horsehair braid hem application. this gown will have over 30hours of alterations and will be showcased mid april as I walk down the isle!!!

11.01.2022 WE ARE STILL OPEN! SewCo. Bridal will remain open while the W.A government allows for one on one alterations inquires and custom made bookings online only. During this period of time custom made inquires will be on line via email or messenger with appointments for finalising design and measurements via video link followed by planned fitting appointments for once things settle.... We are still offering our flower preservation services and dried flower hair slides, however this will be contactless. To all those brides who have alterations still booked with me you will be contacted within the next week about new fitting dates, please inform me if your wedding date changes or if you need to change any payment plans. I'm here to help you as best as I can.

03.01.2022 Dried leaf chandelier earings and pearl/crystal bracelet to accompany our bridal hair vine. Each leaf is picked fresh from our tree, dried and then painstakingly wired. For each wired leaf there were probably 2 that I broke with ma fat fingers. However the result is a stunning fully customisable bridal jewelry and hair vine set.
