21.01.2022 Last week the team went on a field trip to the Museum of the Riverina to check out the current exhibition of Iconic Australian Houses, which is showcasing some of the best residential design in Australia over the past 50 years. There was such a variety of styles on display, it is amazing how with great design, a home can transcend time and still appear to be 'modern' even 50 years later. Well worth a look, we all came away just a bit more inspired in what we do day to day. 15.01.2022 Some progress shots of a new residence in Narrandera being built. This home is located right on the Murrumbidgee River. A requirement was that the building finished floor level had to be above the flood level so that flood waters could pass underneath it. This site is very unique and has historical significance to Narrandera. The site was once known as the Lincoln Oakbank Brewery and the existing brick tower still remains on the site. The new owners commissioned Sewell Design to design a contemporary residence for their family that encompassed the site's natural surroundings. Thanks to PCR Building Services for their great work on this unique home.

14.01.2022 A few more progress photos, this time for a residence located on a large rural residential lot, south of the city. Sewell Design were tasked with coming up with a design that embraced both the country and modern styles of the clients. What resulted was a large family home that followed a traditional country-style layout, with symmetry and separate wings for the adults and children, brought together with an expansive modern indoor/outdoor link area.

11.01.2022 Some finished photos of the Piltz residence in Narrandera. This project is located on the site of the historical old Lincoln Brewery on the banks of the Murrumbidgeee River. The contemporary design sits juxtaposed with the original brewery tower, and has been designed to sit above the flood level. The design provides visual privacy for the residents to the street, whilst taking full advantage of the extensive views over the river.
