24.01.2022 This is a great example of the stages of deterioration of your flexible hoses under your sinks and vanity basins. If your hoses are looking like the one on the right..... then it won’t be long till it looks like the one on the left and floods your house and causes an insurance nightmare. It always pays to have your plumber dig and repair your broken drain to prevent future blockages. 22.01.2022 Today we were called to clear a clients blocked sewer. With the use of our CCTV equipment, we have inspected to find what seemed to be damage caused recently by possibly a directional drill. You can see the scoring inside the sewer pipe walls and the PVC pushed inwards at the point of entry. Its always great to find new things and problem solve drainage issues. 11.01.2022 Part 2. As you can see from the footage below, the large root penetration has been completely removed apart from the small stem. We have used a Root Ranger Jetter head to clear the blockage. This Jetter head is designed to sit just past the root mass and with its rear blasting jet it can quickly tear any obstacle apart. We can then identify the breaks in the drain and can recommend a course of action to make repairs.

10.01.2022 These are some of the roots removed from the previous drain video. The head we have used is the Root Ranger. Once you get the head past the root blockage, the rear blasting jets tear the roots from the wall of the drain and youre able to remove them from the underground pipework.

06.01.2022 Did you realise that your electric hot water system has a sacrificial anode that requires replacement roughly every 5 years depending on your water? This is the remains of an anode removed from a hot water system recently, it should be roughly 1.2 meters long and 20mm diameter. Once the anode has been consumed your steel hot water cylinder will begin to rust and rupture. To prolong the life of your h/w system, have your anode checked and replaced as required. You can see the perished ring in the photo, allowing a little water to leak out of the pipe and attract tree roots. You can see from the footage, the broken pipe-work and the rock that had been dropped during the construction/ installation protruding into the top of the pipe. The broken pvc of the pipe-work has been catching paper and solids and holding them until the drains blocked.
