18.01.2022 Very chilly day in Melbourne today! I hope you are all able to find a little time for creativity. The Glen Eira tutorials finished with the double header last week. Thank you so much to Glen Eira Arts and Culture team for providing platform for the tutorials and to everyone who took part and shared their "makes". Thank you also for the overwhelmingly positive feedback, reassurance that I am doing the right thing. Looking forward to getting back to classes one day soon. 11.01.2022 Cushion tutorial released at 3 pm today. If you are out enjoying the sunshine don’t worry you can access the tutorial anytime . Think about up cycling an old garment, embellish with stitching or just choose a simply beautiful piece of fabric to add some colour to your room. Have a look at some of the cushions students from Soul Stitches have created in the past.

05.01.2022 I am still here, I am still sewing everyday making everyday loving the time in my studio but at the same time missing my classes. Since last posting we have experienced a death in our family so some days priorities change and walks on the beach become the priority. I have also been working on the iSEWlaion collaboration with the Glen Eira city council Arts and Culture team presenting weekly tutorials. I am excited to say that I will be presenting four more in the month of September They take some work to put together so my daily makes are often associated with the ISEWlation program.

In these fun, free online classes Jennifer will guide you through the construction of an awesome coll...ection of practical and beautiful homely items. Includes tips and advice on the best construction and recycling techniques. Scrunchies and Headbands Tools and Materials: Tools: Sewing machine (threaded and ready to go), fabric scissors or a cutting mat and rotary cutter, pins, dressmakers chalk or 4b pencil, pattern paper, kitchen paper or non-iron interfacing, ruler or tape measure (longer than 45cms), paper scissors and a sharp pencil. Materials: Fabric for each scrunchie: Fabric 15cm x 1meter, elastic 20cm and safety pin x 2 Fabric for each headband: Fabric 30cm x 40cm, elastic 2.5cm wide x 30 cm and safety pin Fabric for headband bow: Fabric 20cm x 1meter
