25.01.2022 Sew, (ha ha)......in my Adult beginner sewing class tonight we are making sleeping pants with pockets. Look at how well one of my students matched the checks on the pocket with the front! (Look on the top left of the photo). Well done Sabina!

23.01.2022 Heres a little project Ive been working on for Maria Island in Tasmania. It took a while to make this British red coat as I had to order the wool fabric from England but it was worth it! Beautiful fabric to work with and I loved constructing the all the trims and details. All the gold trim is sewn onto the cream cotton braid, buttons are sprayed to make more dull, and to top it off pom-poms!

22.01.2022 My little troupers! (Kids intermediate sewing class). They cut out their sleeping pant in just 45 minutes! I am amazed at how well they are doing! GIRLS ROCK!

21.01.2022 Introducing the Term 3 Beginner class (missing Sabina) with their second project! These girls are such a pleasure to teach and are rocking it! They were all so excited tonight with their achievements and they all did great! Well done!

20.01.2022 Here are a couple of photos of garments completed this week by the girls in my intermediate class. Velvet smoking jacket and velvet old school track suit which they both rock wearing them! Two gorgeous fleece kids ponchos which are lined also with polar fleece! Well done girls as those fabrics can be challenging!

20.01.2022 For all of you that were looking for an over locker or machine Aldi has them on sale this week. I can highly recommend the overlocker but dont know what the sewing machine is like but would be good for a beginner I think. Just check what day they go on sale, probably Saturday.

19.01.2022 Ok all my theatre and NON theatre friends! I just watched a dress rehearsal of Song Contest, The Almost Eurovision Experience and it was awesome! Very, very funny with lots of audience participation. Its not your typical musical but more like a wacky, crazy experience where you as a patron get to decide the winning country each night. The cast is fantastic and costumes are over the top! So if you would like a really fun night out dont miss this production as you will regret it! Buy your tickets at GPAC now!

18.01.2022 Even when Im on holidays in Canada I cant stay away from the sewing machine! Nothing like sewing outside on the deck at my Dads cabin at Waskesiu lake! It was so peaceful!

18.01.2022 This was my last project. A curtain to cover the cables and wires in the Media Room at GMHBA Stadium ( Kardinia Park) home of the Geelong Cats! I know you may think that a curtain isnt very exciting but it was a good challenge as I wanted it to be perfect! Loved the view I had in my work space today when I had to steam this baby which is 10 meters x 2.8 meters! This is the largest piece of fabric I have had the privilege to work on! Lots of measuring and planning, 50 tabs to make, 100 pieces of Velcro to sew on and lots of steaming! I actually go for the West Coast Eagles, but I would love to see a Cats game from this room!

15.01.2022 Omgosh, as we get close to the end of term, I just want to say that term 4 of 2018 has been so much fun! The beginner and intermediate kids rocked and I have loved teaching them every minute. They amaze me with their enthusiasm and how quick they are to learn. The adult intermediate classes, we alway have fun learning new tricks of the trade and pushing ourselves into techniques we never thought we could do. Here are just a few photos. I have to admit, like a Mom, I take way more photos of the kids than the adults! Darn it!!!!

Would you like to learn how to sew or improve your skills? Well look no further! We start right at the beginning, from threading your machine to completing many projects.... Don't have a machine but still want to learn? No worries, you can borrow a machine from Spring Creek Community House. All courses are 8 weeks so you learn heaps. 09.01.2022 This weeks garments completed in my Intermediate sewing class by two beautiful ladies! (Anne and Elisabeth). Awesome winter coats and a gorgeous long sleeve shirt! (With lots of button holes, hey Anne!). Well done ladies, good to see you challenging yourselves!

09.01.2022 Term 1 2018 was great! I just wanted to say to all my students you rock! My adult beginner class had my first male student who did great!!! I had my first KIDS beginners class which was sew much fun I think most are coming back for another go which is awesome! My intermediate classes produced some amazing jackets, coats, dresses and pants! I am looking forward to next term so if your thinking of coming back or know someone who might be interested please let me know ASAP so I can finalize classes! Heres is just a few of the gorgeous garments they made. To all my students, please feel free to post anything else that youve made as Im sure everyone would like to see! (I know I have the photos but cant find as I take so many!). See you next term!

08.01.2022 As Term 3 comes to a close I just want to say a huge Thank You to all of my amazing students! You are all a pleasure to teach and I hope you have learnt heaps and had some fun along the way! Here are some of the fantastic creations they have made! The youngest is 6 years old, and the oldest in her 60s. If you are interested in learning how to sew please msg me for Term 4 information. To my students, Im looking forward to seeing you back in October and feel free to post some photos of your creations as you should be very proud of them! As you can see, just like a mom I have taken lots of photos of the kids and not the adults! Ill try harder next term! Cheers Maz

08.01.2022 Term 2 is coming an end! Look at these amazing Adult beginners and Intermediate Kids and what they created! I asked them to put their sleeping pants on for the photo and they wouldnt take them off! We also learned how to sew bias tape on this lesson. So proud of them all and cant wait to see what we create in term 3!

07.01.2022 How awesome are these wool lined hipster shorts made by Ingrid in my intermediate class! The checks are PERFECTLY matched and the finish and quality is outstanding! Yes they do have pockets, you just cant see them because the checks are matched so well! Great job Ingrid!
