17.01.2022 Cinderella Make a Wish Ekkk I am super excited about this big one. I have been a wee bit quiet with pumping out work as I’ve been working on some bigger pieces this month. I named this one ‘Cinderella Make a wish’, because so many elements in this painting remind me of the pumpkin carriage and also my son loves the idea of making a wish when he finds a dandelion. This one is off to the framers today and will be back soon. 17.01.2022 Growth Yesterday when I picked up this painting from the framers it made me reflect so much. This was one of my earliest paintings on canvas...back when I had no idea about paint styles or where to even sign my name or if I should even sign it. I used to literally put paint down in my favourite colour schemes, got a spatula out and away I went...very abstract haha! And then I popped it on here - Instagram. As amazing as social media is for growth of your work, putting yours...elf out there is no joke. It also means you as a person and your work is open to ‘opinions’ of anyone with an account... long story short, a small incident happened which took two weeks out of my painting practice. Now when I look back at it, I’m grateful it happen!!! It has made me grow so much as an artist. My style has developed more and I’m confident in my work enough to say It’s my art so keep scrolling. From that one incident I have made connections with other amazing talented artists that I am so grateful for..(they are way famous now and really are way to cool to be my Insta friends ). It’s pushed me to do better everyday and look for other small businesses to help me along the way. I found @upinframessa from good old google and holly molly I’m so happy I did!!! Check out the frame quality. All my work will be forever framed with @upinframessa to ensure I give the best to you guys too. Anyways that was my thought for the evening.
