Nothing else. If you cannot provide those, then please provide a refund so I can buy them from a seller who will send me what I ordered." See more

24.01.2022 Pencil sharpeners - something that we take for granted. Some are good, some are not. The blue one on the left in each photo was made in Germany and has some age to it - note the slotted screw holding the blade in place. The other two on the right were made in Hong Kong - note the Phillips head screw used.

21.01.2022 What was I making yesterday? Been a while since we ran out, but this is a much used item in the kitchen - low sodium stock / bouillion powder - also known as faux chicken stock powder. It is made using yeast flakes and other ingredients. We love it on oven baked chips - sprinkle a little oil on the potatoes then this - yum!

21.01.2022 Not something that was on the daily plan! Bottling the home grown rhubarb from our gardens. We love our rhubarb <3

21.01.2022 Our regular bluetongue lizard visitor is back - we love seeing the native reptiles in our yard <3

21.01.2022 Wayne went digging in one of the potato gardens yesterday and harvested this lovely lot <3

21.01.2022 A view of the magnificent historic Bendigo Railway sheds. This was not visible from the Myrtle Street end of Garsed Street Bendigo until an industrial building was demolished sometime between May 2015 and July 2017, and once a new building is constructed will no doubt be hidden again.

20.01.2022 Cough, cough, sneeze, sniffle. No - not in need of a covid test - just putting dehydrated chillies through the mill. My goodness these are strong in aroma :O

19.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... election committments are over and now life resumes normal mode for us. Plans for today and even tomorrow contain blanching a small amout of peas from the garden. Drying chillies bought recently as we are running out of chilli powder and it is not yet chilli harvesting time in the garden. Butter making (finally) and back to sewing. So far it looks to be bright and sunny outside -that may or may not last. Have a great day everyone

19.01.2022 Tonight's amazing clouds at sunset. Photos (in order) looking west and around to south

18.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... a bit of a rant. If you live in our area and have a light grey fluffy cat maybe you would like to come and collect the fur it left behind when it was yowling and fighting with an unknown cat in our front yard at 2.45am. Yes, they woke me from a sound sleep. It also took off this morning from our garage area when I walked outside to collect the paper. Why is it so hard for animal owners to keep their cats at home, especially overnight? It is local law after all - we had an enclosure when our cats were alive.

18.01.2022 Watching Wayne from a distance when he did a minor fix on the beehive ... and I got my first bee sting as an adult! Have not been stung since I was a child - and it is almost unbelievable how that happened! Was at the local pool in Sea Lake when I was about nine. I jumped off the 3m board ... and was stung on the bottom of my foot because I landed on a bee. Who would have thought that could happen in an olympic sized pool? I would not have ever believed it had it not happened to me !! Photo from the internet

18.01.2022 Found some broad beans hiding in the front garden - we will keep these for seeds for the next season

16.01.2022 A memory from 2007 - Wayne had never been to Victoria Park Collingwood despite being a Pies supporter all this life. So we stopped off there - it was closed! Never mind ...

15.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... will it rain? Wayne is watering the garden so it might now! Fowlers jars from yesterday to de clip, wipe clean and label before putting them in storage, garlic to grade and hang up plus the final day of scrutineering - but this is only to be there for the distribution of preferences calculation and then later on the declaration of the poll. We will be following the election results in the USA with interest as well - with all the worry about riots in that country depending on the result of the presidential election, it makes me glad we are in lovely Australia. Have a wonderful day everyone :D

15.01.2022 Something that we have never tried growing - we think these are red currants and they are doing well for a first season of fruiting. Not a huge amount, but the plant is not big! Photos taken a couple of days ago

14.01.2022 Who remembers an ABC show called Crackerjack starring Reg Livermore in 1966-67? I used to love the show. Can't now remember how I scored this small Crackerjack timber 'doll', but maybe there was a competition for them. It's a bit sad now - the timber is stained and the sticker is lifting.

14.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world - got sidetracked yesterday when half way through putting up a post, those parcels arrived and that all got forgotten. The eBay seller is requesting SKU numbers and apparently the photos I sent yesterday when asking about the wrong parcels came up blank, so have sent more this morning. Fingers crossed for a good outcome. Failing that, we end up with a bamboo plant stand or two!

13.01.2022 Can you make baked beans using broad beans? Answer was yes and yum. For a first attempt I'd say pretty good. First time effort rates 7 out of 10. We decided to make the tomato sauce thicker due to the fact fresh broad beans possibly would put some moisture out. Correct assessment. Were the beans too mushy? Leaving the outer skins on the beans it actually was very good, and not mushy. What we would do better next? We would add a bit more seasoning and possibly a bit more smokey paprika.

12.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... one of the regular visitors we get at home are Common Brown butterflies. Still hoping to see Monarch butterflies again as we have a couple of the bushes they lay their eggs on for the young to feed on - but have not seen any since the time the young hatched here two years ago

11.01.2022 Dinner tonight - with some vegies. It was absolutely scrumptious <3 <3 <3

11.01.2022 Years ago someone was selling these machines - not in fantastic condition, but we put in what we deemed a good offer after viewing them and it was refused. Those who know us know we are very fair with our pricing. The seller told us each one was worth thousands of dollars. Never knew what happened - never saw them when there was auction at the property some months later.

10.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world - wheels in motion around here as per normal ... except for this one in the yard which is motionless except for breezy days. Have a wonderful day everyone - we will do our best to :D

08.01.2022 An unexpected tiny visitor this afternoon. Very hard to get a good photo. Edit: Found it out it is a Chrysoperla carnea - a green lacewing. Don't think I have seen one before - and it was gently taken outside

07.01.2022 One for you Tom....

07.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... could be a busy day ahead with quite a few things to be done. This certainly sums up life for us - the top and bottom half of a long wall hanging we bought years ago when we had the museum at the mill. Have a great day everyone <3

07.01.2022 Today has just flown ... lovely visitors this morning who were here for three hours, a quick shopping trip to Aldi not long ago - but what took up our time in between that? I wonder ... here's a hint!

07.01.2022 What a difference a cleanup with sewing machine oil etc. can make. We owned this Singer 12 MoP for a few years then sold it to a lady who absolutely fell in love with it.

07.01.2022 A busy day with unexpected turns and things to be done ... and then a lovely surprise tonight with this stunning sunset

06.01.2022 Busy time this morning - about 400 garlic graded and hung up as we have done every year since growing our first crop. They will be checked regularly and rotated when needed

06.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... with a top temperature forecast of 34C today it may be a day of quietness inside, Currenty the house is open to let any cooler air in but it won't be long beore we close it up again. Nothing planned - just a steady as it goes type of day! Stay cool those who are in hot places, and stay warm those who are in cold places!

06.01.2022 Our mission this afternoon - a combination of our photos and we worked well together. Not sure the bees agreed at times - they thought that moving them was a bit of mis-bee-having by those wretched humans

06.01.2022 Tonight's magnificent moon as it was rising in the east

06.01.2022 Our first harvest of red currants - 75 grams. There are a few more that will be ripe in a day or two, so will pick them as well once they are. These will be dried in the Fowlers dehydrator and stored for use when we need them

04.01.2022 Hmmm.... these don't look like self healing cutting mats to us. I ordered two on eBay and these look like timber plant stands. Boxes arrived damaged, and I have not opened them - just enough to see what the contents were as the packages were not the size or weight I expected. Seller (Melbourne address) has been contacted and asked to rectify the matter. Order showed a Sydney based seller, and tracking showed it came from there.

03.01.2022 We don't waste much! The remnants of the marinated sticky lamb ribs we enjoyed the other night have now been used to make a lamb stock that will go into the freezer. Even added the meat bits off the bones to it

03.01.2022 Mutter ... I know Australia Post is snowed under with parcel deliveries so I posted off family Christmas presents early to FNQ and WA on 20th Nov, with tracking. The FNQ parcel has arrived. The parcel to WA - this is the tracking advice this morning - nothing has changed since this was first advised: "Date & time: Sat 21 Nov 1:17pm: It's on its way Most recent update: Item processed at facility SUNSHINE WEST VIC"

03.01.2022 First of our regular summer visitors - this one sans two legs! I call them our environmentally friendly fly catchers. Now to remove the cobweb I spotted when I took this photo - but not until this visitor moves to another location

03.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... rest and recovery day - sort of!! We have more visitors this morning who want to learn how to restore their treadle machine - so that will keep us both busy. Both my darling Wayne and I are showing absolutely no ill effects from our bee stings yesterday apart from very slight expected tenderness at the sites of our stings - that is a good thing for us. Some more harvests from the garden - a mix of green beans and scarlet runners and three tiny onions that have not flourished so well

03.01.2022 Hmmm .... masking tape. Need I say more?

02.01.2022 About 85 grams of home grown red currants now dried - not bad for a first effort as the plant is still small. As the plant grows we may get more fruit over the coming years

02.01.2022 Some see the dandelions as weeds, some see them as a food source - and the bees love them for that too. We see them as colour in a nearby paddock - and and not easy to photograph from a distance especially if there is a breeze (as there was). Edit: Have received a suggestion that these are Cats Ears (Hypochaeris radicata), not dandelions as we have always known them as

02.01.2022 This evening's fascinating display of clouds - so many different types in just one area. Looking west from home on our landing.

01.01.2022 Good morning beautiful world ... thought I had better check on how things were going in the sewing room. It appears a deal has been brokered and Count Henri has accepted Silvio on the understanding that Silvio will give a regular soothing tummy rub to him. Ralf and Frankie were happy with the arrangement.

01.01.2022 Swapping information with a researcher on 1870s Canadian made Charles Raymond machines. This lovely one of ours is either a Raymond rebadged as Jas. G Weir, or made in London, UK by Weir. James G Weir was an importer of machines to the UK as he was an associate of Raymond until there was a parting of the ways.
