09.01.2022 So now that you've met Sam, you may be asking yourself: So what actually is an EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST and what do they do? This is one of the most common questions that I get asked, so I’m here to shed a little bit of light on this. Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP) are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-...acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. AEP’s work with people of all ages, from kids through to the elderly, all presenting with a wide variety of conditions or injuries. AEPs will utilise their skills in exercise prescription and behaviour change to empower clients to manage their health independently. AEP’s can treat all different conditions such as: Musculoskeletal rehab (including knee, hip, shoulder and back pain to name a few) Sports Injuries (pre and post surgery) Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis Mental Health Conditions Diabetes Management Overweight and Obesity Pelvic floor weakness Cancer Management Neurological conditions Chronic pain & Fatigue Pre & Post Surgery Rehabilitation Bursitis & Overuse injuries Cardiovascular Disease & Cardiac conditions Balance & Falls Prevention Asthma and chronic respiratory conditions Personal Fitness and Strength programs So hopefully this sheds some light on what an Accredited Exercise Physiologists does, but if you still need some questions answered then feel free to get in contact with Sam.

04.01.2022 This is Sam! Sam is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist that is now servicing the Seymour and Euroa area. Sam was born and raised in Seymour before heading over to Bendigo to complete his Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Masters of Exercise Physiology. He has gained valuable experience helping people with a wide range of conditions in community health, hospital and private health settings. The greatest enjoyment Sam gets is seeing his clients take control of their health and helping them achieve things they never thought possible.
